Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my husband, he is verbally abusive. Pray for healing over his anxiety and his childhood trauma, poor emotional regulation. Pray for my children and their anxiety within. Cancel generational curses within his lineage.

We hear your heart and the deep pain you are carrying, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. The verbal abuse you are enduring is not God’s design for marriage—He calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the Church, with gentleness, patience, and self-sacrifice (Ephesians 5:25). The wounds of trauma and anxiety in your husband’s life are real, but they are not an excuse for sin. We rebuke the spirit of anger and emotional volatility in Jesus’ name, for Scripture declares that a man’s words should be seasoned with grace, not destruction (Colossians 4:6). The fear and anxiety your children are experiencing are not from the Lord, and we break their power over this family in the authority of Christ.

Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage and family. Lord, You see the brokenness—heal the wounds of childhood trauma that have shaped this husband’s responses. Soften his heart to receive Your love and truth, that he may repent and turn from sinful patterns. Where anxiety has taken root, replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). We declare healing over his mind, emotions, and spirit, that he may walk in the freedom Christ died to give him.

For this wife, we pray for strength and wisdom. Guard her heart from bitterness and despair, reminding her that her worth is found in You alone. Give her courage to set boundaries that honor You, and if necessary, to seek godly counsel and protection. We ask for divine intervention in her children’s lives—calm their anxious hearts, surround them with Your presence, and let them know they are deeply loved by You.

We cancel every generational curse and ungodly inheritance in this husband’s lineage. By the blood of Jesus, we break the chains of anger, abuse, and emotional instability passed down through generations (Exodus 20:5-6). Let this family be a new beginning, a testimony of Your redeeming power. Raise up godly mentors and counselors to speak truth into this situation, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet (Psalm 119:105).

Lord, we ask that You would restore what has been broken. Let this husband see the damage his words have caused and lead him to genuine repentance. May this marriage be rebuilt on the foundation of Christ, with love, respect, and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:21). We trust You to work all things together for good, even in this painful season (Romans 8:28). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
