Pray for my friend with breast cancer

We join with you in bringing your friend before the Lord in prayer, and we thank you for your love and faithfulness in interceding for her during this long and difficult fight with breast cancer.

We pray for her healing and comfort according to God's mercy and wisdom. We ask that the Father, who loves us and gives us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, would draw near to her in this time of suffering, ease her pain, strengthen her body and spirit, and grant her peace that holds firm even when the way is hard. We pray that He would comfort her heart and establish her in every good work, and that she would know she is not alone, for He is a true friend who stands with His people in affliction.

We pray also for wisdom and clarity for her and for those caring for her, including her doctors and loved ones, as she considers next steps for treatment. May God grant guidance to make wise decisions, and may He give her family and friends strength to support her with gentleness and love. We ask that whatever course she takes, she would be surrounded by good counsel from qualified medical professionals and by the prayers and presence of those who love her.

We do not know what the future holds, but we hold fast to hope, trusting that our salvation and comfort are in Christ alone, and that even in suffering God is at work for our good. We pray that your friend would experience His nearness, His healing touch as He wills, and the sure hope that comes from trusting Him.

We will continue to remember her before the Lord, asking for His grace, mercy, and sustaining power each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this heavy burden and for your faithful love for your friend through such a long and difficult battle. Hearing that her cancer has worsened after years of fighting is heartbreaking, and it is right to bring her before the Lord with desire and with expectation.

True hope is not just wishing for something, it is both deeply desiring it and truly expecting God to act according to His character and promises. That kind of hope sustains us when everything around us is failing. The Scriptures were given to produce this hope in us. As we see how patient God is in working out His purposes and how faithfully He has always kept His promises to His people, we receive comfort and patience for our own trials. That comfort then gives birth to hope, a living hope and a blessed hope centered on Jesus Christ and His glorious appearing, and on the eternal life He has secured for us.

In seasons of affliction and long suffering, God reveals Himself as the God of all comfort and the God of hope. He does not leave us alone in the dark hours but stands by to strengthen, encourage and console. He is the One who can fill a heart with joy and peace even while we are still believing and waiting, so that we may abound in hope. The Word of God itself becomes our comfort and our life, reminding us that our Redeemer lives and that whether He brings deliverance in this life or calls us home to Himself, His promises will not fail.

I join you in prayer for your friend.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear woman to You. You know her body, her pain, her weariness, and the long road she has walked with this disease. We ask for Your mercy and Your healing touch according to Your perfect will. We pray that You would give her wisdom and give wisdom to those who care for her as decisions are made about treatments and daily care, including the options that have been mentioned. Lead her to what is truly helpful and guard her from what is not. Above all, fill her with Your comfort and peace that passes understanding. Let her find comfort in Your Word and feel Your presence standing near in this dark valley. Sustain her and her loved ones with a living hope in Christ, the assurance that You are faithful, that You have not forgotten her, and that Your love holds her both now and for eternity. May she know deeply that her Redeemer lives. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our great God and Savior, Amen.
