May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Your honesty in sharing this pain is received with care, and your hurt is not hidden from God. To carry love for someone over a long time and to see that it is not returned brings a deep ache, and it is right to bring that ache to the Lord who is near to the brokenhearted.

I will pray for you, that God in His mercy would bring healing and peace to your heart, and that He would gently loosen these feelings that cause you sorrow. We can ask Him not only to take away what burdens you, but to fill that place with His own comfort and presence.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, You see this heart and You know every feeling carried for so long. You know the pain of unreturned love and the weariness it brings. I ask You to comfort Your child now with Your nearness. Grant peace where there has been turmoil, and bring healing where there has been hurt. Where these feelings linger and cause pain, I ask You to gently remove them in Your timing and to guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Teach what it means to find fullness and contentment in Your love, and lead step by step into wholeness. Give wisdom to set healthy boundaries, strength to turn thoughts toward what is good and pure, and hope to trust that Your plans are kind and good. Help to rest in Your care each day, knowing You provide all that is needed. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and salvation, amen.

Continue to bring this before the Lord as often as the feelings rise. It can also help to not feed the feelings by dwelling on fantasies or seeking closeness that keeps hope alive, but instead to give your attention to the Lord, to His word, and to faithful community around you. He is able to restore and to make the heart steady again, and He will not leave you without comfort.

Thank you for sharing something so personal and painful. The hurt of caring deeply for someone who does not feel the same way is real, and it is right to bring that pain honestly before the Lord.

It may help to understand what Scripture teaches about different kinds of love. Our English word love covers many things, but the Bible points to distinct levels. There is a physical level that is often very self focused, seeking its own fulfillment and gratification, and it can be better described as desire than true love. There is also an emotional level, the affection we have for family and friends, which is real and deeper but is often reciprocal, it grows where it is returned. Romantic feelings usually live in those first two levels, and that is why they can hurt so much when they are not returned. The pain you feel is not a sign that something is wrong with you, it is the natural ache of a love that is looking to receive.

God shows us a different and far deeper love. This is the divine love that comes from His own nature, because God is love. It is not a taking love but a giving love. God so loved that He gave. Scripture says the real wonder is not that we love God, but that He loved us first while we had nothing to offer Him. That love cannot be bought or earned, it cannot be quenched, and it flows to us freely through Jesus Christ. When His Spirit lives in us, that same love becomes the fruit of our lives. It is described as patient and kind, not seeking its own way, believing and hoping and enduring. It is the greatest of all, because it contains faith and hope within it.

That is the love that can heal you now. As you dwell in His love, He dwells in you and His love is made complete in you. We are able to love rightly because He first loved us. You do not need to force your feelings away by your own willpower. You can ask Him to fill the place where the ache is with His own presence, to purify your heart and to reshape your affections.

I will pray for you that God will gently lift this burden and bring peace to your heart. May He ease the intensity of these feelings in His time and guard your mind and emotions. May He help you to rest in the knowledge that you are fully loved and chosen by Him, and to find boldness and comfort in that perfect love. May He teach you to walk in His giving love toward others, loving with His kindness and patience, and may He lead your future relationships according to His good design, where love and commitment and physical intimacy belong together within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. If that is His will for you one day, He will provide it in His perfect way and timing, and until then He will be enough to satisfy you.

Father, thank You for Your uncaused and unquenchable love for this dear one. You see this hurt and You care. Pour out Your love anew upon this heart, heal what is sore, quiet what is restless, and fill every empty place with Your presence. Teach what it means to abide in Your love and to live out Your love toward others. Give grace to release what cannot be returned and to trust Your hand for the future. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
