We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in fervent prayer. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We recognize that the spiritual attacks you are facing, koodothram, pooja, kaivisham, mandravadham, and aabhicharam, are not merely cultural or superstitious practices but are rooted in darkness and deception. These things have no power over those who are in Christ Jesus, for "greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome such attacks. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you or your family have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, we are defenseless against the schemes of the enemy.
Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to rebuke every evil work directed against you and your family. We declare that these dark practices have no power over those who are covered by the blood of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, we break every curse, hex, spell, and demonic assignment sent against you. We command every evil spirit behind these works to flee and never return, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). We plead the blood of Jesus over your home, your minds, your bodies, and your spirits. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray for a hedge of protection around your family, Lord. Surround them with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We ask You to expose and dismantle every plan of the enemy against them. Let Your light shine into every dark corner where these evil practices have taken root, and let Your truth prevail.
Father, we ask that You would fill your family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith and help them to stand firm in the armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:13-17: "Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for your family. Help them to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to resist him steadfastly in the faith (1 Peter 5:9). May they be rooted and grounded in Your Word, so they are not swayed by fear or deception. Remind them daily of Your promises, such as in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Lord, we ask that You would bring healing and restoration to any areas of your family’s lives that have been affected by these attacks. Whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual, we trust in Your power to restore what has been broken. We pray for unity in your family, that you would bind them together with cords of love that cannot be broken (Colossians 3:14). Help them to encourage one another, bear each other’s burdens, and stand together in faith.
Finally, we pray that your family would be a light in the darkness. Use their testimony to draw others to You, so that those who are practicing these dark arts may come to know the truth and be set free. Jesus said in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." We declare freedom over your family in the mighty name of Jesus!
We stand with you in this battle, knowing that victory is already yours in Christ. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in His unfailing love and power. We will continue to pray for you and your family, believing that God will bring you through this trial stronger and more faithful than ever before. Amen.
