First, let us affirm that every good and perfect gift comes from God, and it is right to desire harmony and blessing in relationships that honor Him. We pray that today’s meeting would be filled with grace, wisdom, and understanding, reflecting the love of Christ in every word and action.
Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of this young woman’s parents to receive this man with kindness and discernment. May they see in him the qualities that align with Your Word—integrity, humility, and a heart that seeks You. Give them the wisdom to recognize godly character, for as Your Word says, *"The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding"* (Proverbs 9:10). Let their approval be rooted not in superficial impressions but in a spirit-led discernment of whether this man is a suitable helpmate for their daughter, one who will lead her closer to You and honor the covenant of marriage as You designed it.
We also lift up this man before You, Lord.
