We have been praying for your faith, that the Lord would restore the simple trusting faith you knew as a child and draw you close when you feel distant from Him. We have prayed against the lie that you are not one of His favorites or that He hates you or has forgotten you. We know from scripture that God does not show favoritism Acts 10:34 and that nothing can separate us from His love Romans 8:38, and that He is close to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18. We have asked Him to show you that you are not an extra in life but His beloved child, created with purpose, and that His plans for you are still good Jeremiah 29:11 even when the last few years have been filled with deep sorrow, pain and loss.
We have also brought before the Lord the specific burdens you shared, the discouragement of taking longer to earn your degree and feeling behind others your age, the constant struggle and financial pressure, the loneliness and exhaustion, the painful words from your mother about your appearance, the deep wound of losing your father and other family members to suicide, and the heavy burden for your brother in his addictions and the trauma of him being spiked, robbed and missing and the cost that followed. We have asked the Lord to give you rest Matthew 11:28, to provide for your needs, to comfort you in your grief, to heal family wounds and to protect and deliver your brother.
We continue to stand with you in prayer for renewed faith, for peace that passes understanding, and for the assurance that your Father in heaven listens, loves you deeply and has not abandoned you.
