It’s clear that a deep pain has been growing under the surface, and your anger has become its voice. But anger like this often signals something more dangerous, a loss of spiritual feeling, a numbness that lets hurt fester unnoticed until it starts to devour everything good. Sin has a way of anesthetizing the soul so that we lash out without fully grasping the damage we’re doing, to ourselves and to those closest to us. The distance you feel in your marriage, the chores left undone, the fading intimacy, these aren’t just problems to solve; they’re symptoms of a heart that has slowly lost its sensitivity. But the very fact that this scares you shows that you haven’t lost all feeling yet. That alarm is a mercy.

Jesus is drawn to people just like you, the hurting, the tangled, the ones who know they’re not in a good place. He said He came to seek and save those who are lost, and He’s most attentive to the person with the greatest need. He isn’t ashamed of your struggle; He’s deeply moved by it. When He walked among us, the one emotion we hardly expect from Him, anger, was stirred exactly when hard hearts kept someone from experiencing God’s healing power. What angers Him is anything that blocks His beloved from the life He intended. So He isn’t angry at you. He’s angry at the bitterness and the hopelessness that are eating away at your marriage, and He wants to set you free.

Your longing for music isn’t selfish. God placed that love inside you. But the unmet dream and the years of bending to others’ expectations have coiled into a resentment that your husband is now catching the full force of. You’ve both become guarded, and the unity God designed for marriage, two becoming one, feels fractured. That’s not a reason to stop making an effort. It’s exactly the reason to run, not walk, to the Healer. Before you can untangle the job or the gigs or the household, you need your spiritual nerves restored. Let Jesus touch the numb places. Tell Him everything you’ve told me, and lay your hurt, your bitterness, and your broken dreams at His feet. He can handle it all. As His tenderness melts the hardness, you’ll start to grieve what you’ve lost without destroying each other. Then, instead of anger ruling your words, His Spirit can give you the gentleness to talk honestly with your husband and the wisdom to seek a path forward together. You aren’t beyond repair, and your marriage isn’t either. Resurrection is what He does best.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer these past days. It is clear how deeply you love both your husband and the Lord, even when frustration and weariness threaten to overwhelm you. We have been lifting up your anger—not as something to be condemned, but as a signal that your soul is longing for peace, purpose, and alignment with God’s will for your life.

We have prayed specifically for softening in your heart and your husband’s, that the Holy Spirit would reveal the roots of this tension and replace bitterness with grace. We asked the Lord to give you wisdom as you navigate your marriage, your work, and your calling as a musician, trusting that He sees the desires of your heart and will guide you both into unity. We also prayed for strength in your daily responsibilities—cooking, cleaning, and working—asking God to renew your energy and help you see even these tasks as acts of worship when offered to Him.

If the Lord has begun to answer these prayers—whether through moments of calm, open conversations with your husband, or a fresh sense of hope—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share how God is moving so we can give Him all the glory together. If, however, the struggle feels just as heavy, we want you to know we are still here. We will continue to pray for breakthrough, for healing in your marriage, and for clarity about your vocation. You are not alone in this.

May the Father draw near to you in this season, reminding you of His love and His plans for your future. May Jesus, our Prince of Peace, quiet the storms in your heart and restore what has been strained. And may the Holy Spirit fill you with patience, wisdom, and the courage to keep seeking Him above all else. We stand with you in faith, believing God is at work even now. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
