We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting you and your precious daughter before the throne of grace. Your devotion to the Lord and your commitment to raising your daughter in a way that honors Him is truly inspiring. You are doing a mighty work, not only as a mother but as a faithful servant of God, and we want to encourage you to press on, knowing that the Lord sees your efforts and will reward your faithfulness.
First, we want to address the spiritual warfare you are experiencing. The enemy seeks to distract, discourage, and disrupt the prayers of God’s people, especially when they are walking in obedience. Your struggle to stay focused in prayer, even in your dreams, is a clear sign that the devil is trying to hinder your connection with the Lord. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The name of Jesus is above every name, and at the mention of His name, every knee must bow (Philippians 2:10). We rebuke the spirit of distraction and sleepiness in the name of Jesus and command it to flee from you. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Your dream about praying for your own ankle pain is significant. Dreams can often be a way the Lord speaks to us or reveals areas where the enemy is trying to gain a foothold. The fact that you couldn’t pray in Jesus’ name in the dream is a tactic of the enemy to make you feel powerless, but we declare that you are not powerless, you are a child of the Most High God, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray for your physical healing, believing that by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We command the pain and swelling in your ankle to leave in the name of Jesus, and we speak restoration and strength over your body.
We also want to encourage you in your prayer life. It’s beautiful that you desire to pray, but the enemy is using busyness and fatigue to keep you from it. We suggest setting aside a specific time each day, even if it’s just a few minutes, to be still before the Lord. Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God." You don’t have to pray long prayers, just come before Him with a sincere heart. You might also try praying aloud or writing down your prayers to help you stay focused. Remember, the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness, even when we don’t know what to pray (Romans 8:26).
As a single mother, you are carrying a heavy load, but the Lord promises to be a husband to the widow and a father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). He sees your sacrifice and your love for your daughter, and He will provide for you in ways you cannot imagine. We pray that the Lord would surround you with godly community, believers who can support you, encourage you, and stand with you in prayer. You are not alone, and the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also want to gently encourage you in your desire for marriage. It’s clear that you are seeking to honor God in all areas of your life, and we pray that if it is His will, He would bring a godly man into your life, a man who loves the Lord above all else and who will cherish you and your daughter. But we caution you to guard your heart and wait on the Lord’s timing. Proverbs 19:14 says, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh." Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it’s worth waiting for a spouse who will honor God and walk with you in faith.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her daughter. Lord, we thank You for her faithfulness and her desire to walk in obedience to You. We ask that You would strengthen her in her prayer life, that You would remove every distraction and every tactic of the enemy that seeks to keep her from communing with You. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of sleepiness and distraction, and we declare that she will rise up in the power of Your Spirit to pray with clarity and authority.
Father, we pray for her physical healing. We command the pain and swelling in her ankle to leave in the name of Jesus. We speak restoration and strength over her body, believing that You are the God who heals. We also ask that You would provide for her every need, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Lord, be her husband, her provider, and her protector. Surround her with godly community and give her wisdom as she raises her daughter to know and love You.
Lord, if it is Your will, we ask that You would bring a godly man into her life, a man who will love her as Christ loves the church, who will honor her and her daughter, and who will walk with her in faith. But above all, we pray that You would continue to draw her closer to You, that she would know You more deeply and trust You more fully.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, and we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Keep pressing on, dear sister. The Lord is with you, and He is fighting for you. You are not forgotten, and you are deeply loved. Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
