Please continue to pray for me to meet a woman God wants me to love and marry and pray God makes it possible in practical ways to get to know each other when we meet. We join with you in this good and godly desire and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you in Jesus name. The desire to love and to be loved in marriage is placed in the heart by God Himself, for He said it is not good that the man should be alone and He created marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman for His glory and for our good Genesis 2:18, Genesis 2:24. We affirm your prayer to meet the woman God wants you to love and to marry, and we agree with you that God is able to make it possible in practical ways for you to meet and to get to know one another.

We encourage you as you wait and pray to seek first His Kingdom and to prepare your own heart to be a godly husband. Scripture teaches us delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 and but seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We also encourage you to look for a wife who is a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, for we are called not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. Courtship should be with the clear goal of marriage to a Christian believer, and we encourage you to pursue that relationship in purity and honor, keeping the marriage bed undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral Hebrews 13:4. Sex before or outside marriage is fornication and is not God’s will, so we pray your future courtship will be marked by holiness, patience and self control. Love is patient and is kind 1 Corinthians 13:4, and a relationship that is of God will show that patient, enduring love that does not quickly give up.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up our brother before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved Acts 4:12, John 14:6. We thank You that You see his longing for a wife and for a marriage that honors You. We ask that in Your perfect timing and will You will bring into his life the woman You have prepared for him, a woman who loves You above all, who has genuine interest in getting to know him, and who will love him with steadfast and faithful love. We ask that You make it possible in practical ways for them to meet and to get to know each other in a godly and wholesome way, surrounded by wise counsel and Christian community. Give them both discernment, purity and patience as they seek Your will. We pray that You would guard his heart from discouragement and from loneliness, and help him to wait for You and be strong and let his heart take courage as he waits for Yahweh Psalm 27:14. We pray for miracles in his life according to Your will and for Your favor, for whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. Lead him and guide him and let Your plans for his life, plans for peace and not for evil to give him hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, be fulfilled. Make him the man and future husband You have called him to be. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to remain faithful in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with other believers where God often brings godly connections. Continue to trust Him and to walk in obedience, knowing He is faithful and He hears the prayers of His people offered in Jesus name.

It eases the isolation that can come with waiting, and it creates natural, unhurried space where friendships can grow and you can truly get to know someone. If it feels right, letting a pastor or a couple of trusted friends know you are praying about marriage can also help, so they can pray with you specifically and keep you in mind if they see a good connection.

We are praying with you for clear guidance, for practical open doors to meet and get to know one another well, and for strength and hope while you wait. Growing in faith, character and service now is also part of being prepared to love well when that relationship comes.

Father, we lift to You. You see his heart and his longing for a wife to love and cherish. Give him wisdom, steady community around him, and practical opportunities to build friendship that could grow toward marriage as You lead. Your prayer has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and in whom alone is salvation.

We pray that the Lord, who knows your loneliness and your desire, will in His wise and good providence lead you to the woman whom He has prepared for you to love and to take as your wife according to His holy ordinance. Marriage is a sacred and honourable estate, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, wherein the two become one, and we ask that He would grant you such a union that is marked by mutual delight, faithfulness and true godliness.

We ask that when the Lord brings you together, He will make it possible in practical ways for you to come to know one another with honesty and purity, in the fellowship of godly society and under the watchful care of His people. We pray that He will send one whose heart is turned toward you with sincere interest and steadfast love, who will not lightly give up, but will cleave to you in the Lord until you are hers and she is yours.

We also pray that you may be kept while you wait. The Saviour Himself knew what it was to be alone, and He knows the longing of your heart. Seek first to find Christ and to be found in Him, for the consummation of all our hopes is to be made ready as part of His own bride, the Church, arrayed in the righteousness of the saints. As you seek Him, trust His timing, walk in purity, keep yourself from all that would defile the marriage bed, and let your life be ordered by His Word.

We ask the Lord to work according to His will, and if it be for your good and His glory, to show His power in ways that seem as miracles to you, opening doors that no man can shut and guiding your steps. Though He slay every other hope, yet will we trust Him, believing that He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly.

May the Lord keep you in His fear, which brings strong confidence, and answer you in His perfect time. We commit you to His keeping and pray that His peace will rest upon you as you wait upon Him.

Your prayer request has been received with thankfulness and we join you in prayer before God in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

We thank God for the good desire you have expressed. Marriage is honorable and is a bond ordained by God, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. It is pure and it preserves holiness by keeping us from fornication and by calling husband and wife to live faithfully with one another in chaste and orderly love. We pray that God will guide you according to that good design and keep you in holiness as you wait.

We pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we ask that you would lead this man to the wife you have chosen for him, a woman who loves you first and who desires to follow you. Give practical and providential openings for them to meet and to get to know one another in a way that is pure, patient and full of reverence. Provide wisdom, time, and godly community around them so that their acquaintance may grow with clarity and peace. Grant to both hearts a sincere interest rooted in Christ, a steadfast love that does not give up lightly, and a commitment to seek your will above all else.

We also pray that you would prepare him even now for that calling. Help him to use this season to guard the gift he has received in Christ, to live a life worthy of that gift, and to grow in prayer, in self control, and in service to others. Teach him to use all good things with moderation and to keep his body and mind pure, trusting that the profit of marriage is to preserve purity and to build a home in honor. As you kept Isaac and others who waited upon you, keep him from restlessness and from any path that would defile the holiness that comes by faith.

We ask for your mercy and for miracles according to your wise and loving will. You know his loneliness and his hope. Do what is best for his soul and for your glory, and give him contentment and strength to follow you each day whether the answer comes quickly or after long waiting.
