Thank you for sharing this honest desire of your heart. It is good to bring this before the Lord, and I am praying with you in Jesus name.
The Bible shows us that marriage was God's idea from the beginning, that a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife and the two become one flesh, and what God has joined together no one should separate. Within that lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, a husband and wife are to show kindness and love to one another and not withhold themselves from each other. One reason Scripture gives for marriage is to guard against sexual immorality, so that each man has his own wife and each woman her own husband and purity is protected.
At the same time, Scripture teaches that both singleness and marriage are good before God. If you are not bound in marriage you are not commanded to seek a wife, but if you do marry you have not sinned. Singleness can allow for undivided service to the Lord, and marriage brings its own responsibilities to please and care for your spouse. Both callings are honored by God, and His Word speaks practically to each one, to married couples and to single people, about how to live and serve Him faithfully.
I am praying that God, according to His wisdom and timing, will lead you to the woman He intends for you to love and to enter that covenant with, and that He will provide practical and right ways for you to meet and to get to know each other in a pure and orderly way. I pray He brings a godly woman who has a sincere and steadfast interest in knowing you, who will be committed and not quick to give up, and that you will show that same steadfast love to her. A marriage rooted in Christ can be a place where both of you encourage one another in holiness, and where any children God may give you experience the influence of a godly home that points them toward a holy life rather than the way of the world.
Jesus taught that marriage belongs to this life, for in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage. That makes the marriage relationship now all the more significant as a gift for this life to be entered with reverence and kept faithfully.
I pray God keeps you as you wait, helping you to walk in purity and to find your contentment and purpose in Christ, trusting Him for miracles and for everyday provision. May He guide your steps, guard your heart from discouragement, shape you to be the faithful husband He calls a man to be, and if it is His will, join you together with a wife in His perfect time for His glory.
