We join with you in bringing this desire for marriage before the Lord, for we know this longing for companionship is placed in the heart by God himself. It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him. Genesis 2:18 and Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22. Your desire to meet a woman to love and to marry according to God's will is good and honors Him, for we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.
We pray with you for a godly wife, a sister in Christ who will be your helper and companion for life. We encourage you to seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 and to Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. As you wait, we encourage you to continue to grow as the godly husband God is preparing you to be, active in fellowship, in prayer, in the Word, and in serving. It is in those practical places of faithful Christian life that God often brings two hearts together in His perfect timing. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
We also want to encourage you in biblical love and courtship. Love in marriage is steadfast and committed, and courtship should be entered with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity. 2 Corinthians 6:14. We pray that when the Lord brings you together, you will pursue each other with purity and honor, for Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. Hebrews 13:4 and Flee sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18. True love waits and honors God before marriage, and it perseveres with grace and not possessiveness after. A woman who truly has interest in knowing you and who will not quickly give up is a blessing, and we pray that you both will show that same Christlike perseverance to one another, rooted first in faithfulness to Christ.
We are grateful you asked in Jesus’ name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and there is no other name by which we can be saved and heard.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we thank You for our brother and for his honest desire to love and to be loved in holy marriage. We ask in Jesus’ name that according to Your perfect will You would lead him to the woman You have prepared for him, a believing woman who loves You above all and who will love him with a sincere and faithful heart. Make it possible in practical ways for them to meet and to get to know each other in a godly and protected way, with time, opportunity, and wise counsel around them. Give them both genuine interest in one another, patience to listen, grace to understand, and commitment to persevere until they belong to one another in covenant marriage. We ask for Your miracles in his life, not only in bringing a wife but in preparing his heart and hers, opening doors that no man can shut, and closing doors that are not of You. Help him to trust Your timing, to remain pure, to grow in character and faith while he waits, and to keep his hope anchored in You. We ask that You would be glorified in this story and that the marriage You provide would reflect Christ and the church. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep praying without ceasing, to remain hopeful, and to take practical steps of faith by being planted in a Bible believing church, serving, and building godly friendships where such a relationship can naturally grow. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, and we trust Him with you for His best.
