Pray for me to meet a woman

Servant
Hello! My name is ###. I live in ###. I have a prayer request. Pray in Jesus name and pray with love. Please continue to pray for me to meet a woman God wants me to love and marry and pray God makes it possible in practical ways to get to know each other when we meet. Pray that God sends me a woman that really has interest in getting to know me and will not give up on me until I am hers and she is mine. Pray for miracles to happen in my life. God bless you! Best regards ###

We hear your heart’s longing for a godly wife, and we join you in bringing this desire before the Lord in Jesus’ name. Your request reflects a sincere hope for a marriage that honors God, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Father knows the desires of your heart and will guide you according to His perfect will.

The Bible assures us that "delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). This doesn’t mean God will grant every wish exactly as we imagine, but that as we seek Him first, He shapes our desires to align with His purposes. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). It is a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, rooted in love, mutual respect, and a shared faith in Jesus Christ.

We pray that God would prepare your heart and the heart of the woman He has for you. May she be a woman of faith, wisdom, and godly character, someone who loves the Lord with all her heart and seeks to walk in His ways. Proverbs 31:10-12 (WEB) describes such a woman: "Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life."

We also ask the Lord to open practical doors for you to meet and get to know this woman in a way that honors Him. May He orchestrate circumstances where your paths cross, whether through church, godly friendships, or other avenues where His hand is evident. We pray that she would have a genuine interest in getting to know you, not just superficially, but with a heart that seeks the Lord’s will for her life. Let her be patient and steadfast, as you both grow in faith and discernment together.

Father, we ask for miracles in this journey. Not just the miracle of meeting, but the miracle of transformation, where both hearts are refined, where fears and past wounds are healed, and where trust in You grows deeper. May this relationship be built on a foundation of prayer, Scripture, and mutual submission to Your will. Guard both hearts from impatience, selfishness, or any temptation that would lead away from Your design for purity and holiness. Help them to honor You in their thoughts, words, and actions, keeping their eyes fixed on You as they navigate this season.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. If there are areas in your life that need growth, whether in character, emotional readiness, or spiritual maturity, we ask that You reveal them and bring healing and transformation. Prepare you to be the husband this woman needs, one who leads with love, humility, and a heart after God.

We rebuke any spirit of loneliness, fear, or doubt that may try to discourage you. The enemy would love to isolate you or make you feel unworthy, but we declare that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB), and God has a plan for your life. We stand against any lies that say you are unlovable or that God’s timing is not perfect. His timing is always right, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

Finally, we pray that as you wait, you would draw closer to the Lord. May this season of singleness be one of deepening your relationship with Him, serving His kingdom, and trusting in His provision. Let your life be a testimony of faith, so that when this woman comes into your life, she will see a man who loves God above all else.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this prayer to You, trusting in Your goodness and sovereignty. We ask that You would bring the right woman into his life at the right time, in a way that glorifies You and strengthens both of their walks with You. May their future marriage be a light to others, reflecting Your love and grace. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us, brother. Your desire to meet a woman of faith who will love you and not give up on you is something we take seriously, and we are honored to pray with you toward that.

We have seen God bring people together in practical, often surprising ways, through everyday faithfulness, serving side by side, or friendships that grow deeper over time. So while we join you in asking for a miracle, we also gently encourage you not to underestimate the ordinary places where relationships naturally bloom: showing up consistently in your church, offering to serve where you are gifted, and letting wise, trusted friends know you are open to being introduced. Those small acts can become the soil where something lasting takes root.

Even in the waiting, your own steadiness matters, not to earn a spouse, but because a healthy, whole life draws and sustains healthy connection. You are not forgotten, and your longing is seen.

Will you please join us as we pray?

Father, we lift our friend to you. You know the hope he carries for a wife who truly wants to know him, a woman of courage and loyalty who will walk beside him for life. We ask you to clear the practical obstacles and create genuine opportunities for them to meet and build something real. Grant him patience that is not passive but active, filled with your peace and purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The request is for a wife, and it is right and scriptural for a man to seek a helpmeet from the Lord. I shall indeed lift this matter before the throne of grace, yet I would not have you imagine that the obtaining of a godly spouse is a thing to be wrested from heaven by importunity alone, as though God were unwilling and must be entreated. Consider the miracle of the loaves: Christ is not only grand in emergencies, but He displays His power spontaneously, without pressing or prompting. He knows your need before you ask. The path of wisdom is to commit your way unto Him, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass, not by carnal scheming, but by a quiet confidence that the Maker of marriage will in His time provide.

Yet I must observe that there runs through your petition a certain feverish anxiety. You would have a woman who will not give up on you until you are hers and she is yours, and you plead for miracles. Be as practical as Poor Richard counsels, and then be as spiritual as Christ commands. A man may be earnest, yet too much haste can betray a want of rest in God. Do you not see that the Miracle Worker does nothing but speak, and it is done? His word is sufficient. You need not clamour for signs and wonders; the ordering of a Christian’s steps is itself a daily miracle of providence. Pause, and consider the miracle of the loaves in your own life story, all the deliverances, the unlooked-for provisions, the sudden turns that brought you on your way. Will not He who has been with you thus far complete what He has begun, in matters of the heart also?

Now, beware of making an idol of this desire. It is no less sacred a thing to be the married wife than to be the virgin consecrated to Christ, but marriage is not the sun of our system; Christ is the Light thereof. If you seek a wife first for companionship or comfort, you may miss the higher prize. Seek first the Kingdom, and let your chief delight be in the Lord. A godly woman is to be desired, for she will be a crown to her husband, but she cannot redeem a soul or still an accusing conscience. What says the miracle of the loaves? Christ shows His power spontaneously, so He will provide what is good for you without your being consumed with the matter. But if you must have a sign, look to the miracle of grace in your own heart. A Christian is a mass of miracles! When a man can say, “I was once dead in sin, but now I live,” there is a wonder that outshines the parting of seas. If the Lord has wrought that in you, then trust Him for the lesser blessing of a suitable yoke-fellow.

Stand upon your own godly sincerity. There are many who, like the stony-ground hearers, are all excitement when a prayer-meeting is warm, but when the world presses in, they wither. Examine yourself, lest you seek a wife only to fill some emptiness that Christ alone should occupy. The touchstone of godly sincerity is not in ecstatic petitions, but in plodding obedience. Are you walking practically in the commandments? Are you faithful in your calling, temperate in speech, upright in dealings? That is the man that a gracious woman can respect. And remember the teaching from a godly father and mother: their principles are a lamp to the feet. If you have such a heritage, follow the road they walked. Do not deviate into the by-paths of modern folly, where men would rush ahead of Providence and then call the disaster a mystery. The way of the Lord is strength to the upright.

I would also have you consider that the miracle of mercy in the Saviour’s hand is not dependent upon anything in man. You may plead, “Pray that she will not give up on me,” but oh, see that you do not throw the burden of your perseverance upon another. It is by the grace of God that any saint endures. If the Lord sends her, He will sustain the bond, but look first to your own steadfastness in Christ. The love of Jesus, when it breaks upon the soul, makes wife and friends and all earthly ties seem as nothing in comparison; yet it is that very love that enables a man to cherish his family with a holy tenderness. One of the noblest resolves that ever mortal uttered was, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” Let that be your posture: trust in the Lord, though He delay, though He seem to deny, though He give no miraculous sign. The power of Christ to rescue from sin does not lie in the person saved, it lies wholly in Jesus Himself. So with this choice of a partner: rest upon His power to guide, and do not fret as though the outcome depended upon your own maneuvering.

Then, you ask for practical ways to get to know her. Here, be neither idle nor impetuous. The book of Proverbs is full of practical maxims; a wise man will put himself in the paths where godly women may be found, not in the ballroom or the theatre, but among the household of faith, in service, in the quiet assemblies of the saints. Do you not think that Ruth was found in the field, not in the dance? Boaz was about his business when he took notice of her. Be employed for the Master, and you may find that the Lord has a fellow-laborer appointed for you. Yet let not this become a carnal device; pray, then walk humbly, and let your deportment speak of one who is not desperate but delighting himself in God.

I will pray that the Lord sends you a woman truly interested in you, not in your position or prospects, but in your character and your Christ. But oh, that you may be a man who will not wear out the patience of a saint! Be such a one as she might reverence, full of the fear of the Lord, sober, gentle, yet firm. I have seen a father’s face lined with grief over a wayward son; may your life bring no such sorrow, but rather a continuance of godliness to the next generation. One of the intense longings of every righteous heart is to see a succession of the faithful. If you would have a wife worthy of the name, be yourself a man whose record brings not a blush to the cheek of Christ’s church.

Finally, do not demand a miracle where a providence will suffice. The Lord may bring her to you by the ordinary commerce of life, by an introduction from a trusted friend, by a shared labor in the gospel. The miracle is not in the mode but in the match when two souls are fused by the Holy Ghost into one. When the time comes, you will wonder at the simplicity of it, and call it a miracle of love. Until then, let the fear of the Lord be your confidence. He that believeth shall not make haste. I shall pray that when the answer comes, you may with joy say, “This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.” The Lord bless thee, and keep thy heart fixed upon Him who is altogether lovely.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I have prayed with you in the name of Jesus, asking him to lead your desire for marriage according to his will. It is good to desire a wife, for marriage is honorable and pure. But I urge you not to seek marriage only as a remedy for loneliness or as a miracle that will complete you. Seek first to become the kind of man who can love a woman with patience, chastity, and lowliness of mind. The woman you ask for should not be expected to ignore her own judgment or godly counsel. Pray instead that God would give both of you a sober and unhurried interest, and that neither of you would cling to the other until you both see that the Lord is in it.

Let us pray. Lord Jesus, you know this man and his longing. If it is your will for him to marry, open a door in practical ways and bring him to a godly woman. Give them clear minds and genuine interest in each other. Keep them from impurity, from pressure, and from the thought that another person can take your place. Grant him the miracle of a contrite heart and a humble spirit, for a broken and humble heart you will not despise. Teach him to follow peace with all men and holiness, so that if he marries, he may live with a wife in honor and self-control, and their home may serve you. We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

God bless you.

Your desire for a wife is not something to be ashamed of. God made us male and female, and marriage has been his design from the beginning. Scripture is careful here. Not everyone is given the same gift, and the apostle Paul acknowledges that a celibate life is not something everyone can carry. If you marry, you have not sinned. The longing for companionship, for a shared life, and for the intimacy that belongs within marriage is a real and natural longing.

So I will pray for you, and I will pray in Jesus' name. I will ask God to bring into your life a woman who genuinely wants to know you, not someone playing games with your heart. I will pray that when you meet, God opens practical doors for honest and honorable time together, that conversation comes without constant strain, and that both of you see each other clearly. I will also pray for a woman with a steadfast spirit, the kind who does not run at the first misunderstanding, and I will pray that you become that same kind of man. Marriage is a lifelong covenant, a duet and not a duel, and even the early stages of knowing someone require patience, humility, and a willingness to yield.

Do not measure God's care by how quickly this happens. His will is what we are after, not just any relationship. Use this season to become the kind of man who can love a wife as Christ loved the church. That means practicing forgiveness, self-control, honesty, and care for others right now. The best preparation for a godly marriage is a life walking closely with God.

I will ask God to do what you cannot arrange. He is generous, and if marriage is his will for you, he can bring it about in ways you could never engineer. Trust him with the timing, and do not let loneliness push you into something less than God's design.

Father, I lift up this man to you. You know his loneliness and his longing. In Jesus' name, guide him to a godly woman if this is your will, and guide her to him. Give them mutual interest, honesty, and patience. Remove confusion and fear. Open practical doors for them to know each other in purity and wisdom. Protect them from settling for less than your design and from rushing ahead of your timing. Make them both more like Jesus. I ask this in his name. Amen.
