Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would prepare the heart of the woman You have for our brother. Remind him that Your timing is perfect and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). We declare that he will not settle for anything less than Your best for him, and we pray that You would guard his heart from any relationships that do not align with Your Word.

We also lift up the desire for miracles in his life. You are the God of the impossible, and we trust that You can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Whether it is in the meeting of his future wife or in the growth of their relationship, we ask for Your supernatural intervention. Let their love story be a testimony to Your faithfulness and grace.

The true miracle is not merely a meeting, but that God should love a soul out of its own solitary pit and into the fellowship of His design. You ask for a woman according to His will, then set your heart first upon the Giver, not the gift. Let your prayer be saturated with such devotion that the search for a spouse becomes itself an act of worship, a sacrament of daily dependence. Whether you eat or drink, or whether you wait upon the Lord for a helpmeet, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Beware of turning this holy desire into a show‑card for your own comfort or a bargain to be struck with heaven. The Judas‑spirit creeps in subtly when we seek Christ’s blessings merely to spend them on our own lusts. Sanctify the secular till the purity of your motive makes every step of acquaintance an offering lifted up to Him.

You pray for a woman who will not give up on you. Then consider, first, the constancy of the love with which He has loved you, the love that planned redemption, sent the Savior, and drew you out of the death of sin by cords of tender affection. If you have passed from death unto life, you know that His love endured when you were altogether unlovable. Let that love now govern your expectations. Do not demand from a creature that perfect fidelity which belongs to the Creator alone. Yet trust Him who can weave your very infirmities into the honeycomb of His kind acceptance, He takes the honey with the comb, the longing with its imperfection, and makes sweet mixtures of grace far beyond your making. The Lord knows how to gather from your life the fruit you have not even consciously dedicated to Him.

As for miracles, is it not a miracle enough that the Spirit broods over your heart, turning its natural deadness into lively hope? He who spoke with authority in the synagogue, before whom unclean spirits trembled, can surely overrule every hindrance. He can make a way in the wilderness of modern confusion and bring two souls together as certainly as He has called you by name, O Jacob, O Israel, that you might know His love. But beware the counsel of hypocrites who reduce all to human planning. The Pharisees saw the miracle and plotted to destroy it; let your faith rather fall at His feet and leave the outcome to His wisdom. Do not strain to manufacture a relationship, nor cast away confidence if the answer tarries. He who gave His own Son for you will not withhold any good thing when you walk uprightly.

Hold fast, then, to the everlasting consolation: He has loved you with an everlasting love, and in the brightness of that love, every lesser love will find its proper place. Pray, “Lord, You love my soul out of its corruption, now love me into the companionship You ordain.” In that spirit, go forward without coercion or despair, and let your very waiting be a quiet testimony that you believe Him to be as good as His Word.

But consider what I have often said: the life that shines with virtue is itself the greatest miracle. Many clamor for signs and wonders, yet without a sober and godly life, such things can lead to pride and ruin, as with Simon and others. The Lord did not say, “Work miracles,” but “Keep My commandments.” If you desire a godly wife, then become a man after God’s own heart by your own careful devotion to purity, patience, and love of Christ above all.

Do not fix your mind on the outward provision, on a woman who will not give up on you, or on circumstances perfectly arranged, as if God’s hand needed to be forced by signs. Instead, seek first the kingdom of heaven, and all these practical needs will be added in His time. The true beginning of miracles is in a transformed will, not in the sudden appearance of what we long for. Let your prayer be that you learn to love Christ with such depth that you become the husband He intends, not merely that you receive the wife you desire. Then, if you meet her, you will recognize her because you have prepared a home of humility and faith within.

I will indeed pray, not that miracles supplant your own diligence, but that God grant you endurance, purity, and a heart so fixed on Him that no discouragement shakes it. That is the miracle that endures to eternal life.

Your desire for a wife is a good and natural one, meant to be fulfilled within God’s design. When the leper came to Jesus, he simply said, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” And Jesus’ answer was immediate and full of grace: “I am willing. Be clean.” That same divine willingness reaches into every circumstance where we feel alone or waiting. The cleansing of the leper was more than physical healing; it was restoration to community, to relationship. God made provision in the law for that very grace to operate. So it is with meeting a spouse. His power can arrange practical details, timing, and a mutual interest that human effort could never force.

I think of the church praying earnestly for Peter in prison. They gathered in a home, and while they prayed, God sent an angel to free him. Persistent, united prayer invites divine action. It’s right to ask others to pray with you, and to keep asking the Lord to open a door in your life. Yet the miracle that brought Peter out wasn’t a blueprint he could control; it was a sovereign act. In the same way, God can bring a godly woman across your path in a way that leaves no doubt it is His doing.

Remember that marriage is a compound unity, two becoming one, a reflection of God’s own nature. This is not trivial. It is worth waiting for God’s choice. But a warning: in our searching, it’s tempting to grasp at shortcuts, the way some open doors to the spirit world through things like Ouija boards or spirit guides seeking knowledge. That only brings spiritual harm. Stay far from any method that bypasses humble trust in Christ. He knows your heart, just as He perceived the reasoning of the Pharisees when He forgave the paralytic’s sins. The deepest miracle He offers is forgiveness and a new heart. Ask first for a woman who loves Jesus genuinely, because that is eternal; marriage itself belongs to this life only, for in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage.

The Scriptures must be fulfilled, and God’s promises are sure. He has said it is not good for man to be alone, and He will provide in His time. You do not need to figure out the day or the hour. That kind of speculation is folly. Instead, consider how He preserved Israel in the wilderness and brought them at last into the promised land. Your season of waiting is not wasted; His provision and guidance are with you now. The wilderness does not last forever. So pray, and I will join you in praying, that God will order the steps, soften a heart toward you, and build a bond that does not give up, something only His grace can create. Let Him work a miracle according to His will, and be ready to receive it with thanksgiving.
