Fredrik, we lift you up before the Lord with gratitude for your heart’s desire to seek a godly marriage, as it is a beautiful and holy calling. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 18:22, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* We rejoice that you are seeking this blessing in His will and in His timing, for marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).
Yet, we must also encourage you to examine your heart and intentions through Scripture. You ask for a woman who *"will not give up on me until I am hers and she is mine,"* and while it is natural to long for mutual commitment, we must remember that marriage is not about possession but about selfless love, sacrifice, and sanctification. The Lord calls us to love as He loves—patiently, kindly, and without demand (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). A godly marriage is built on two individuals fully surrendered to Christ first, trusting Him to bind their hearts together in His perfect timing.
We also urge you to be active in your pursuit of godliness, for the Lord often brings spouses together as we walk in obedience to Him. Are you immersed in a community of believers where you can serve and grow? Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Seek first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33), and trust that as you abide in Christ, He will prepare both you and the woman He has for you.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for ### and his desire for a marriage that honors You. Lord, You know the deepest longings of his heart, and we ask that You prepare him to be the husband You’ve called him to be—faithful, loving, and rooted in Your Word. Father, if it is Your will, bring a godly woman into his life, one who fears You and walks in Your ways (Proverbs 31:30). Let their meeting be divinely orchestrated, and give them both wisdom, patience, and discernment as they seek Your face.
We rebuke any impatience, fear, or worldly expectations that may try to rush or distort Your perfect plan. Guard ###’s heart from idolatry—whether of marriage itself or of any person—and keep his eyes fixed on You alone. Let this season be one of growth, where ### learns to trust You more deeply, knowing that You withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).
Lord, perform miracles in ###’s life—open doors, create opportunities, and let Your favor rest upon him. May he see Your hand moving in ways that leave no doubt it is You. And above all, let Your will be done, for Your plans for him are good, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
