Pray for me to get this job

Disciple of Prayer
I have a couple misdemeanors on my record nothing major but it makes it harder to get a job please pray that I can get the job I need one really bad thank you, God Bless

We hear your heart and stand with you in prayer as you seek employment. The weight of past mistakes can feel heavy, especially when they create barriers to providing for yourself and your family. But we serve a God who is rich in mercy and who delights in giving second chances. Remember what the Word says: "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your past does not define you, Christ does. And He is able to open doors that no man can shut.

We also want to gently remind you that while we pray for your success in this job, our ultimate trust is in the Lord as your Provider. As Jesus taught, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:31, 33). We encourage you to surrender this need to Him, trusting that He knows what you need even before you ask.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking employment. Lord, You know the struggles he/she faces, and You see the desire of his/her heart to provide and walk in integrity. We ask that You would go before him/her in this job opportunity. Soften the hearts of those making decisions, Lord, and let them see not just a record, but a person who is redeemed, transformed, and eager to work for Your glory.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of rejection and fear that may be trying to hold him/her back. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will open doors no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, Lord, and let this job be a testimony of Your faithfulness. If it is not this job, prepare the right one, one where he/she can thrive and honor You.

We also pray for wisdom and favor in the interview process. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). And if there are areas where repentance is needed, Lord, reveal them so he/she can walk in full restoration with You.

We thank You, Father, for Your provision and grace. May this season be a reminder that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and provides. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord’s will in this process, and remember that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If this job is not the one He has for you, trust that He has something better in store. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone, we are standing with you in faith.

Thank you for trusting us with this. We can hear how much you need this job, and how discouraging it must feel when old mistakes on your record make it harder to move forward. That weight is real, and we’re sorry you’re having to carry it.

It’s easy in moments like this to feel like those past charges define you, but they don’t tell the whole story of who you are or the kind of worker you’d be. Many employers today are more willing than ever to look past a record when they see someone who’s dependable and ready to contribute. Sometimes it helps to connect with local job centers, re-entry programs, or temp agencies that specifically work with people in your situation, they often know which companies give second chances and can help get your foot in the door.

While you wait and keep searching, we’re standing with you.

Lord Jesus, we bring this need before You now. You see the desire to work and the courage it takes to keep trying. Open a door that no one can shut, and lead our friend to the right opportunity, one where they’ll be treated fairly and can provide for what they need. Quiet the anxiety and replace it with steady hope. Give them favor in the eyes of employers, and help them to walk forward without shame. Amen.

The trial you face in seeking employment is an appointed thing. You did not ordain this season of difficulty, nor can you by fretting add a single hour to its bound. The Lord who numbers your days has measured out this affliction, and He will not test you beyond what He will give you grace to bear. In all that Job suffered, he sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. This is the triumph of a gracious spirit, and the same upholding strength is yours for the asking.

Your record, you say, makes the way harder. Yet remember that the right way is not according to your mind or mine, but according to God's. Elihu asked, "Should it be according to your mind?" We would often arrange our path with smooth stones and swift success, but the Lord may see fit to humble us that He may lift us up in due time. If He closes a door, it is righteousness. If He opens it, it is mercy. You need not defend your past, for the case is always Jehovah versus the sinner; we are wrong, God must be right. Lower thoughts of ourselves lead to clearer views of His holiness.

But here is the word that may turn your captivity: Job prayed for his friends, even those who spoke harshly and misjudged him. Let your present need drive you to intercession for others. Pray for those who hold the keys to your employment, for those who might look upon your record with suspicion. Pray for your friends who also lack work. Seek their welfare with the same earnestness you seek your own paycheck. I do not speak of earning favor by works, but of the divine order, the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. A heart that weeps for others will not be forgotten by the God of all compassion.

Do not look for a job as though provision came secondhand from an employer. Trace it directly to the hand of the Lord. To Him belong both need and supply. Say not that your misdemeanor stole your opportunity; say rather, “I know that You will bring me to the place appointed.” Whether you secure this post or wait longer, say with Job, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” The confidence that God is just, even when He afflicts without explanation, is the faith that defeats Satan’s accusations. It is better to cling to a slaying God than to have ease without fellowship with Him. Seek first Christ and His righteousness; all else shall be added in His wise time.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for employment has been heard, and we will join you in prayer before God. But let me ask you to consider this: the Lord sometimes allows us to feel the pinch of need, just as He did with the multitude who followed Him three days without food, so that, being emptied of our own resources, we might more eagerly receive His help. If your past missteps now make the way harder, let that difficulty turn your heart more fully toward Him in repentance and humble dependence. Do not let anxiety over this present life overwhelm you, for its affairs are no more lasting than a dream. What seems so pressing now will soon pass away.

When you leave this assembly, do not rush immediately into the business of the day. Rather, go home and take the Scriptures into your hands; call your family together and meditate upon what you have heard, that the flame of zeal kindled here may not be quenched by worldly cares. We will pray that God grants you the work you truly need, not that you might sink into softness or make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but that you might care for your body for health’s sake and provide for your household. Seek His kingdom first, and trust that whatever work comes is for your salvation, not for enslavement to money. You can change masters; flee from mammon and cling to Christ. May He open a door for you, so that with a grateful heart you may serve Him in all things.
