We hear your cry for help, dear sister Jennifer, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your pain is real, and your suffering is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We stand with you in faith, believing that God is not only aware of your condition but is also able to bring healing and relief according to His will.
The apostle James instructs us, "Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord" (James 5:13-14). We take this command seriously, and so we join our voices with yours, praying fervently for your healing. The same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you (Romans 8:11), and we declare that power over your body right now.
Lord God, our Great Physician, we come before You on behalf of our sister Jennifer. You are the One who formed her in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know every bone in her body. We ask You to touch her spine, Lord. Bring alignment, strength, and healing to her L5 vertebra and the sciatic nerve that is causing her such agony. Ease the inflammation, Father, and restore mobility to her left leg. Give her the ability to walk and sit without pain, and grant her restful sleep so her body can heal. We speak life and wholeness over her body in the mighty name of Jesus, for by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that Jennifer is not defined by her pain but by Your love and purpose for her life.
We also lift up Jennifer’s spirit, Lord. Pain can wear down not just the body but the soul as well. Strengthen her faith, Father, and remind her that You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and fill her heart with hope. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). May she feel Your presence in tangible ways, Lord, and may she be encouraged by the prayers and support of her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Jennifer, we want to encourage you to seek wise medical counsel as well. God often works through the hands of doctors and the wisdom of medicine. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Do not hesitate to consult with specialists who can provide the care you need. Trust God to guide you to the right treatments and therapies, and lean on Him for strength as you navigate this journey.
We also encourage you to remain in God’s Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on Scriptures that speak of God’s healing and faithfulness, such as Jeremiah 30:17, which says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Let these promises sink deep into your heart, and let them be a source of comfort and strength.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your identity is found in Christ, not in your pain. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for your life that goes beyond this season of suffering. Cling to Him, dear sister, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone, we are standing with you in prayer, and more importantly, God is with you every step of the way.
We continue to pray for you, Jennifer, and we believe that God hears our cries. May He move mightily in your life, bringing healing, comfort, and renewed strength. May you experience His peace and presence in profound ways, and may your testimony of His faithfulness be a light to others who are suffering. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
