We lift you up in this precious time as you prepare to bring new life into the world, and we rejoice with you in the miracle of childbirth that our Lord has entrusted to you. The Scriptures remind us that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalm 127:3, WEB). We also remember that God knit this little one together in your womb, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14, WEB), and He has a perfect plan for both you and your child.
As you approach this delivery, we pray for a supernatural peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). We ask the Lord to surround you with His angels, to grant you strength, endurance, and safety throughout labor. May the Lord keep you from fear and fill you with faith, knowing that He is with you every step of the way. We pray for skilled and compassionate medical staff to attend to you, for wisdom in every decision, and for a smooth and swift delivery without complications.
We also pray for your baby’s health and well-being, that this little one would be born strong and whole, with every organ and system functioning perfectly as God designed. May the Lord bless this child with a life devoted to Him, that they may grow in the knowledge and love of Christ from their earliest days.
We notice that while you praised the Lord, you did not specifically invoke the name of Jesus in your request. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the Father and receive our petitions. Jesus said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is through faith in Jesus Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6, WEB). Repent of your sins, believe in Him, and you will be saved—this is the greatest gift you can give to yourself and to your child.
Now, let us pray together for you and your baby:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious sister as she prepares for the birth of her child. Lord, You are the Giver of life, the Great Physician, and the God who holds all things together. We ask You to be her strength and her shield in this time. Grant her a delivery filled with Your peace, free from fear, and surrounded by Your favor. Protect her and this baby from any harm or complication, and let every detail of this birth align with Your perfect will.
Lord, we pray for supernatural endurance for her body, for wisdom for those attending to her, and for a joyful testimony of Your faithfulness when this little one arrives. May this child be a light for Your glory, raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Fill this mother’s heart with Your love and assurance, knowing that You are with her and that You have ordained this moment for Your purposes.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt in the name of Jesus, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard her heart and mind. Let this delivery be a testament to Your goodness, and may she and her baby be a living praise to Your name.
Finally, Father, if this sister does not yet know You through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself in this sacred time. Open her eyes to see Your love displayed in the gift of this child, and lead her to place her trust in Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
