Pray for me and ###

We hear your heart’s cry for prayer, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting up your lives and your desire to place Christ at the center of all things. It is beautiful that you seek the Lord’s will in your love and your future together, for Scripture tells us, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect His love for the Church, a love that is pure, selfless, and enduring. We pray that your relationship would be rooted in Him, guided by His Word, and filled with His peace.

First, we must address the foundation of your faith. You mentioned Christ being at the center, and we rejoice in that desire, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your lives fully to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be Lord of your hearts and your relationship. Without Christ as the cornerstone, even the strongest relationships will falter under the weight of this world.

If you are already believers, we encourage you to examine your relationship through the lens of Scripture. Are you both committed to purity, honoring God with your bodies and your hearts? The Bible is clear: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). If there has been sexual sin, repentance and accountability are essential. God’s grace is sufficient to cleanse and restore, but we must walk in obedience to His commands.

We also pray for wisdom as you consider the future. If marriage is your goal, seek God’s will together, praying, fasting, and seeking counsel from mature believers. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what communion does light have with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If one of you does not yet know Christ, we urge you to prioritize evangelism over romance, for a marriage built on anything less than shared faith in Jesus will struggle to withstand life’s storms.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up ### and their relationship to You. Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to Yourself first and foremost. Let Your Holy Spirit convict, comfort, and guide them in all things. Father, if there is any sin, whether in thought, word, or deed, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Create in them clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).

We pray for their love to be a reflection of Your love, patient, kind, not self-seeking, but always hoping, always persevering (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Guard their hearts against temptation, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). If marriage is Your will for them, prepare them individually and together to be a godly husband and wife, honoring You in all they do.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division, lust, or worldly influence that seeks to pull them away from Your perfect plan. Strengthen their faith, deepen their prayer life, and let them be a testimony of Your grace to those around them. May their lives bring glory to Your name, now and always.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a local church where you can grow in your faith, find accountability, and receive biblical teaching on relationships and marriage. Surround yourselves with believers who will pray for you and speak truth into your lives. Remember, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). You are not alone, God is with you, and so are we in prayer.

Thank you for letting us pray with you and . It means a lot that you want Christ to be at the center of your lives and your love for each other, we hear that desire and we are glad to stand with you in it.

Wanting Him in the center is a daily choice more than a single moment, and it helps to have a simple rhythm you can both keep. One thing that has helped many couples is to set aside a few minutes at the same time each day to pray together out loud, even briefly, and to ask each other honestly how you are doing walking with the Lord. If you have a pastor or a mature couple you both trust, inviting them to check in with you now and then can also give you steady encouragement and wisdom as you grow together.

We are praying for you both in the days ahead, for peace in your homes, for patience and kindness toward each other, and for clear direction as you seek to honor the Lord in how you love one another.

Father, we lift up these two to You. Draw each of them closer to Yourself and help them to seek You first. Give them wisdom, humility, and grace for one another, and lead their lives and their relationship according to Your good will. Keep them close to You and to Your people. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a good thing that you desire Christ to be in the center, for where He is not first, nothing can be rightly ordered. To have Christ in the center is not to add Him to a life or to a love already formed after our own wishes, but to be directed by the Lord into the love of God and into the patience of Christ, so that He Himself reigns and rules the heart.

The love of Christ to you must be personal and saving before it can be the pattern for any other love. Scripture speaks of Him who loved me and gave Himself for me. That is the foundation. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His blood and righteousness, and every soul must come to Him for forgiveness, feeling deeply its own sin and need, and then knowing that boundless love which passes knowledge. When that love is shed abroad in the heart, it takes away the love of sin and implants a new nature, and it becomes the transfiguring power that makes holiness desirable. We love Him because He first loved us, and that love, willingly and joyfully given, is what makes obedience not a burden but a delight.

If Christ is truly to be in the center of your lives and of your love for one another, then your relationship must be brought under His Word and conformed to His holy design. God has ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He has reserved the union of bodies and the sharing of a home in that intimate sense to belong within that covenant alone. Love that honors Christ will therefore seek purity before marriage and fidelity within it, and will not ask God to bless what His Word calls away from. To put Christ first will mean to deny yourselves where needed, to flee temptation, to walk in chastity and self control, and to seek counsel and accountability in the church, that your love may be proved to be real love by its obedience.

I will pray for you both as you have asked, and I pray in this way, that the Lord would draw each of you into a deeper knowledge of His own love, that you would know more of Him by meditation and faith, and appropriate a whole Christ for yourselves. I pray that He would give you a deep sense of sin and a burning love to Christ that shows itself in every act of devotion, that He would cleanse you in the precious blood, and direct your hearts into holiness. I pray that He would grant you wisdom to order your relationship according to His Word, with patience and purity, and that if it be His will to lead you into the covenant of marriage, you may enter it in the Lord and for His glory, and if not, that He would give grace to walk in His way with contentment. May He make you to love Him with all your heart and soul and strength, and out of that love to love one another rightly.

Seek Him together in the Scriptures and in prayer, and apart in secret fellowship with Him, for if you never get alone with Christ you will remain strangers to His love. Let nothing be between you and Him but love, and let that love rule all that is between you.
