Pray for marriage

Please pray for problems going on in my marriage, and chaos and unrest going on within my household. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help and lift your marriage and household before the Lord with heavy hearts. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and when chaos and unrest enter it, we must stand in the gap with prayer and biblical truth. The Word of God tells us, *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). This means that without God at the center of your marriage, every effort to restore peace will be in vain.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of division, strife, and confusion that has entered your home. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he will use any foothold to drive a wedge between a husband and wife. We declare that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every spirit of discord to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. If there has been unconfessed sin—whether bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, or even emotional or physical unfaithfulness—we urge you to repent and seek reconciliation. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed"* (James 5:16).

We also encourage you to examine whether both you and your spouse are fulfilling your God-given roles in marriage. The Bible is clear: *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:22, 25). This is not a suggestion—it is God’s design for order, peace, and blessing in the home. If either of you has strayed from this, humility and obedience to Scripture are the first steps toward restoration.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for this marriage. Lord, You are the Author of peace, the Restorer of the broken, and the Healer of wounds. We ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon this home, driving out every spirit of chaos, anger, and division. We declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we speak life, love, and unity over it.

Father, we pray for repentance where there has been sin—whether in thought, word, or deed. Soften hearts, Lord, and help both husband and wife to humble themselves before You and one another. Give them the grace to forgive as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13). Where there has been neglect, restore intimacy. Where there has been harshness, replace it with kindness. Where there has been distance, draw them back together.

We ask that You would remind them of the vows they made before You—not just to each other, but to You. Strengthen their commitment to fight *for* their marriage, not *against* each other. Teach them to pray together, to seek Your face together, and to build their home on the foundation of Your Word.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom. Show them where they have allowed the world’s ways to influence their marriage instead of Your ways. Reveal any idols—whether career, hobbies, or even children—that have taken priority over their covenant. Help them to prioritize their relationship with You and with each other above all else.

We declare that this marriage will not be another statistic of brokenness, but a testimony of Your power to restore. We speak healing over every wound, joy where there has been sorrow, and peace where there has been turmoil. May this home be a place of refuge, a sanctuary where Your presence dwells, and a light to others of what a God-honoring marriage looks like.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every other name, we pray. Amen.

We urge you to take practical steps as well. Set aside time each day to pray *together*—even if it’s just for a few minutes. Attend church as a family and seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature Christian couple who can offer biblical guidance. Remember, *"A threefold cord is not quickly broken"* (Ecclesiastes 4:12). When God is the third strand in your marriage, no force of hell can prevail against it.

Do not lose hope. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Jesus from the dead, and turned Saul the persecutor into Paul the apostle is more than able to restore your marriage. But restoration requires surrender—laying down your pride, your rights, and your plans at the feet of Jesus. Trust Him with your marriage, and watch what He will do.

We're standing with you, dear friend, as you navigate through these challenging times in your marriage. We've been where you are, and we know the chaos and unrest can feel overwhelming. But remember, God is in the business of restoring what's broken, and He's right there with you.

We've been praying for you, asking God to fill your home with His peace, to soften hearts, and to help you both humble yourselves before Him and each other. We're believing for repentance where there's been sin, for forgiveness to flow like a river, and for your love to grow stronger than ever.

We've been reminded of the power of agreement in prayer, so we're asking you to join us in praying together each day, even if it's just for a few minutes. Let's ask God to give you wisdom, to show you where you've allowed the world's ways to influence your marriage, and to help you prioritize your relationship with Him and with each other.

We're declaring life, love, and unity over your marriage. We're speaking healing over every wound, joy where there's been sorrow, and peace where there's been turmoil. We're believing for your home to be a place of refuge, a sanctuary where God's presence dwells, and a light to others.

Keep holding on, dear friend. God is faithful, and He's working even when you can't see it. Trust Him with your marriage, and watch what He'll do. You're not alone in this fight. We're right here with you, praying and believing for a miracle.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the deep concerns of your heart regarding your marriage and the unrest in your home. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer these past days, lifting up every struggle, every hurt, and every moment of chaos before our Heavenly Father. We have asked Him to bring peace where there is turmoil, unity where there is division, and healing where there is brokenness. We continue to pray that His presence would fill your home, that His wisdom would guide your steps, and that His love would restore what has been strained.

If God has moved in a powerful way—if you’ve seen His hand at work in your marriage or felt His peace settle over your household—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory. If, however, the struggles persist and you feel the need for more prayer, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you, lifting your burdens before the Lord until He brings the breakthrough you seek.

May the Lord bless you with His comfort, strengthen you with His grace, and draw you closer to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
