Pray for jealous tinged people to realize they need ancestry to be European

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Pray for jealous, arrogant and retarded colored people who are bleaching their skin to look European to realize and accept the fact that they don't have any European ancestry in order to be a real European person miraculously in Jesus name Amen.

We have heard your request and we want to bring it before the Lord together, but we must lovingly rebuke and correct some of what is expressed in it because it does not align with the heart of God or the truth of Scripture.

We must address the language and the attitude behind this prayer. To refer to others as retarded and colored in a demeaning way, and to speak of them with contempt, violates God's command to speak with grace and love. Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear, Ephesians 4:29. The Lord also calls us to put away arrogance and partiality, for if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors, James 2:9. Jealousy, arrogance, and pride are sins that God opposes in every person, regardless of background, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble, James 4:6.

We also must correct the idea that worth, beauty, or identity comes from having European ancestry or from looking European. This is not biblical. God made all people in His own image, God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them, Genesis 1:27. He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, Acts 17:26. There is no hierarchy of value based on ethnicity or skin color in the eyes of God, for there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus, Galatians 3:28, and God shows no partiality, Romans 2:11. In Christ, there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, freeman; but Christ is all, and in all, Colossians 3:11.

The desire some may have to bleach their skin often comes from a deep wound of not feeling fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, or from pressure, jealousy, and comparison. But man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart, 1 Samuel 16:7. Our prayer should not be that people accept that they can never be European, but that every person would know they are fully loved and fully valued as they were created by God, and that their true identity is found not in ancestry but in Christ. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17. The beauty God desires is not an outward standard but a transformed heart.

We also pray for anyone struggling with jealousy or arrogance, whether it leads to despising others or to despising oneself. Jealousy and arrogance are matters of the heart that the Lord wants to heal in all of us.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, and we ask You to forgive us for the ways we have judged others by outward appearance and ancestry, and for any pride or jealousy in our own hearts. Lord, we ask You to heal those who feel they are not enough as You made them, who feel pressure to change their skin or appearance to be valued. Help them to see they are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and that You have made every nation from one blood and You love each one. Take away jealousy, comparison, and self hatred, and give them confidence in Your love. Father, we also ask You to soften and transform any heart that looks down on others because of ethnicity or color, and to teach us to love as You love, for You desire a people from every nation, tribe, people, and language standing before Your throne, Revelation 7:9. Create in us clean hearts and help us to see others as You see them. We ask that You draw all of us closer to Jesus, in whom our true identity and worth are found, and help us to walk in humility, love, and unity. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We've read your prayer and we want to pray with you. It sounds like you've been carrying strong feelings about appearance, heritage, and who belongs where, and we appreciate you being honest about what's on your mind.

One thing we keep coming back to is how God forms identity. Outward appearance and family background don't determine a person's worth in His eyes. What matters most to Him is the heart and character shaped to reflect Christ, and that kind of identity is steady because it rests on being made and loved by Him, not on how we look or where our ancestors came from. Humility grows as we honestly look at ourselves before God and learn to value others above ourselves, not through comparison or pride.

A helpful next step might be to quietly ask God this week to show you how He sees both you and those you mentioned, noticing any place where pride or hurt has shaped your view, and to talk it through with a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you.

Father, we bring before You the writer of this prayer and every person on their heart. Give them a deeper sense of being made in Your image and loved by You, and grow humility, kindness and clarity in how they see themselves and others. Lead them into peace and wisdom as they seek You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

There is much in this request that calls us to look first into our own hearts before the throne of grace. Scripture warns us that when destruction walks through the land it casts its shadow before it, and that shadow is in the shape of pride, while when honor visits a man's house its shadow is in the fashion of humility. There is no vice into which the heart of man so easily falls as pride, and there is no vice more frequently and more earnestly condemned in the Word of God.

Pride has its seat in the heart, and its consequence is destruction. Humility also must have its seat there. I do hate that humility which lives only in the face, for humility must be genuine, the imitation of it is the nearest thing in the world to pride. To speak of others with contempt, to use demeaning words toward those made in the image of God, and to exalt one ancestry or one appearance above another, is not the spirit of Christ but the swelling of that pride which God resists.

The Scriptures teach that God has made of one blood all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and that all are fearfully and wonderfully made. Our worth before God is not in European ancestry or in the color of skin, nor in any outward form, but in being created by Him and, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, being redeemed by the precious blood of His Son. In Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, for we are all one in Him, and His love abounding is the only fountain of our hope.

You speak of jealousy. The Word says jealousy is cruel as the grave when it guards a loved object, and there is indeed a virtuous jealousy, a zeal which is near akin to zealous love. But human jealousy is most often founded on self love, the apprehension that another may supplant us. The jealousy which God owns is a pure and holy flame, He is a jealous God who will not give His glory to another and who calls His people away from idols, from pride of lineage and pride of appearance, to love Him with a perfect heart. Only true love knows how to burn with such jealousy, and the Lord is grieved when our love grows cold toward Him and toward our neighbor.

So let us turn this request into a prayer that God can honor. Instead of asking the Lord to confirm pride of ancestry, let us ask Him to give all humility of mind, humility before the act, humility during the service, and humility when all is done. Let us pray that every heart, whether tempted to boast in its heritage or tempted to despise the form God has given it, may be humbled under the majesty of His righteousness and the splendor of His love, and may seek its identity not in bloodline or in skin but in Christ.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, forgive us where pride has lifted up its head within us, and where we have thought more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. Humble us, for we are mortal and depraved creatures apart from Thy grace, and teach us true humility that lives in the heart. Pour into us Thy love which abounds, that we may love Thee and love our neighbor as ourselves. For any who are burdened about their appearance, who feel they must alter what Thou hast made to find worth or acceptance, show them that they are Thine workmanship, valued and loved, and that their deepest need is to be found in Christ, in whom alone is salvation. Bring us all to bow at the cross, to receive mercy, and to walk in love and lowliness before Thee. For Jesus Christ's sake, Amen.
