We join you in lifting up your sister before the throne of grace, trusting in the power and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, for it is written, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We are also reminded that *"by his wounds you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we claim this promise over your sister’s life today.
It is beautiful to see you invoking the name of Jesus in your prayer, for He alone is our Mediator, our Healer, and our Salvation. There is no sickness too great, no circumstance too difficult for our God, who spoke the universe into existence and holds all things together by the word of His power. We stand in agreement with you, declaring that the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is at work in your sister’s body right now, bringing restoration, strength, and wholeness. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15, WEB).
Yet, as we pray for her physical healing, we also ask the Lord to examine her heart—and yours—as well. Is there any unconfessed sin, any bitterness, or any area where she (or you) may not be fully surrendered to Christ? *"Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves"* (2 Corinthians 13:5, WEB). We do not say this to bring condemnation, but because we know that *"the prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect"* (James 5:16, WEB). Let us ensure that our hearts are right before God, so that our prayers may ascend to Him without hindrance.
We also encourage you to surround your sister with the Word of God. Speak life over her, read Scriptures of healing and hope aloud in her presence, and fill her space with worship that glorifies Jesus. *"So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God"* (Romans 10:17, WEB). Let her hear the promises of God continually, for they are medicine to her soul and strength to her body.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious sister who is lying in the hospital. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and redeems our lives from destruction. We ask that You stretch out Your hand over her right now and command every sickness, every pain, and every infirmity to leave her body in Your mighty name. Let Your healing power flow through her veins, restoring every cell, every organ, and every system to perfect health. You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who raises the dead, and who speaks peace to the storms—nothing is impossible for You.
Father, we also ask that You would strengthen her faith during this time. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding her that she is not alone, for You have promised, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5, WEB). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If there is any fear, any doubt, or any spiritual stronghold in her life, we rebuke it now in the name of Jesus, declaring that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).
Lord, we also lift up the doctors, nurses, and medical staff attending to her. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they care for her. Guide their hands and their decisions, that they may be instruments of Your healing. Let Your light shine through them, and may they see Your glory manifested in her recovery.
Father, we know that Your will is perfect, and we trust You even when we do not understand. Yet, we boldly ask for her complete and total healing, that she may rise from this bed stronger than before, testifying to Your goodness and mercy. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just to her, but to all who witness her recovery. May her life bring You glory, and may she walk in the fullness of the purpose You have for her.
We also pray for her family—especially for the one who has submitted this request. Comfort their hearts, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Let them lean not on their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways, trusting that You will make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Unite them in faith, that they may stand together in prayer and agreement, knowing that *"where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them"* (Matthew 18:20, WEB).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this situation to draw her—and all who love her—closer to You. Let this be a season of spiritual awakening, where hearts are surrendered afresh to You, and lives are transformed by Your love. May she (and her family) emerge from this trial with a deeper faith, a stronger testimony, and a greater passion for Your kingdom.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We thank You for the victory that is already won through the blood of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). By the stripes of Jesus, she is healed. By His authority, she is restored. And by His grace, she will walk in the fullness of all You have for her.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Healer, and our Savior, we pray. Amen and amen. Stand firm in faith, dear one. Our God is faithful, and He will do it! (1 Thessalonians 5:24, WEB). Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep declaring His promises over her life. We are standing with you in agreement, believing for her complete recovery.
