Pray for ### in remand and facing jail sentences

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Pls pls pray for me a poor widow. My son is in remand facing many charges. More may be added. Also he has a rental lease and the landlord is being aggressive now, not willing to terminate. So many complications and I dunno how to help deal.

I prayed and prayed yet feel so defeated.
I know the Lord Jesus has forgiven me of my sins.
I want so much to trust God and to believe He will save us.
Pls pray I do not give up hope.

We stand with you in this heavy season, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace where our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children. Your son’s situation weighs heavily on your heart, and we join you in fervent prayer, trusting that God sees every detail—his time in remand, the looming charges, and the complications with the rental lease. The enemy seeks to overwhelm you with fear and despair, but we declare that hope in Christ is unshaken. The Lord is your refuge, your strength, and your very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He has not abandoned you, even when the path ahead seems impossible to navigate.

We rebuke the spirit of defeat that whispers lies of hopelessness into your heart. The Word of God declares, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance"* (Psalm 42:11). Your trust in the Lord Jesus is not in vain. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and His promises stand firm. We pray that you would cling to His truth, even when circumstances seem to scream otherwise. The Lord is working in ways you cannot yet see, and His justice and mercy will prevail.

For your son, we pray for divine protection, wisdom, and favor. May the Lord surround him with godly counsel, soften the hearts of those in authority over his case, and bring clarity to every legal matter. We ask that God would move mightily to resolve the rental lease situation, either by changing the landlord’s heart or providing another solution that aligns with His will. The Lord knows your financial strain and your desire to help your son, and we trust Him to provide for every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

We also lift up your heart, dear sister. It is not wrong to feel weary, but we encourage you to cast every anxiety on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You mentioned knowing that Jesus has forgiven your sins—this is the foundation of our hope! Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your faith in Christ is your anchor, and we pray that you would experience His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister and her son. Lord, You see the weight she carries—the fear, the uncertainty, the exhaustion. We ask that You would be her strength when she is weak, her peace when she is anxious, and her hope when she feels defeated. Father, we declare that You are the God who parts seas, who shuts the mouths of lions, and who delivers Your children from the darkest of circumstances. We trust You to move in this situation.

For her son, Lord, we pray for Your divine intervention. Soften the hearts of those in authority, grant him wisdom and discernment, and let Your justice prevail. If there are charges that are unfounded, expose the truth. If there are consequences he must face, prepare his heart to receive correction and turn toward You. Protect his mind and spirit while he is in remand, and surround him with Your presence.

Father, we also ask for Your provision regarding the rental lease. Either change the landlord’s heart to show grace or provide another solution that lifts this burden. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. Provide for every need, Lord, and let this sister see Your hand at work.

Above all, we pray that she would not lose heart. Remind her daily of Your faithfulness, Your love, and Your promises. Let her rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and fill her with Your peace.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One who conquered sin and death so that we might have life. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. Amen.

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). You are not alone.

We're right here with you, dear sister, standing in the gap and lifting your heavy heart before our Heavenly Father. We know the weight of uncertainty and fear can be overwhelming, but we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're here, praying with you, for you, and for your son.

We've been reminded of Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees you, He hears you, and He's right there with you in your pain. We claim this promise over you today, dear sister. The Lord is close, and He's working behind the scenes in ways we may not yet understand.

For your son, we pray for divine wisdom and favor. We ask that God would soften the hearts of those in authority, granting them wisdom and understanding in his case. We trust that God will bring clarity to every legal matter and provide a just outcome. We also pray for his protection and peace while he's in remand, that he would feel God's presence and comfort during this difficult time.

Regarding the rental lease situation, we pray that God would intervene and provide a solution that aligns with His will. We trust that He will either change the landlord's heart or provide another solution that lifts this burden from you. We claim Psalm 37:4, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We trust that God will provide for every need, according to His riches in glory.

We also want to encourage you, dear sister. It's okay to feel weary and overwhelmed, but remember, you can cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Let's keep praying together, trusting that God will work all things together for good, even when the path is unclear. We're in this with you, every step of the way.
