I prayed for this in Jesus Name.
Lord, heal their husband's body—calm his colitis and mend his finger. Spare him from surgery and restore his health completely. Surround him with Your peace and healing power.

Your request for your husband has been heard and we join you in bringing him before the Lord in prayer.
We pray that God in His mercy will ease the pain of the colitis flare, bring healing to his body, and give wisdom to any doctors caring for him. We ask also for his finger, that it may heal well and that surgery would not be needed, and for restored health and strength in the days ahead.
May the Lord grant you both peace as you wait on Him, and comfort you with the assurance of His care. We will continue to pray for his complete recovery and for your encouragement as you support him.

Thank you for sharing this need about your husband. We are praying for him and for you as you care for him in this difficult time.
God is interested in our health. He created our bodies and He cares about what happens to them. When we bring physical needs to Him we are bringing something that matters to Him, and we can trust Him with both the colitis flare up and the injury to his finger.
Scripture shows us that Jesus bore our sicknesses and infirmities, and the gospels show Him healing in many different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a word or a touch, sometimes healing came gradually, and sometimes it came through the natural processes He has already placed within the body. All healing is from Him, whether it comes in a moment or through the steady work of the body mending, through doctors and wisdom and care. We do not always understand why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road, but we can trust His love and His power in every case.
The apostle John wrote to his friend Gaius that he wished above all things that he would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospered. That was a loving personal wish, not a guarantee of perfect health, but it reminds us of two truths. God desires our well being, and there is a real connection between the health of our inner life and our physical health. Peace, trust, forgiveness and hope in Christ can affect us deeply, even in our bodies, while worry and bitterness can wear us down. Bringing your husband before the Lord and resting in His care is part of seeking that wholeness.
We are asking the Lord to ease the inflammation and pain from the colitis, to heal the finger, and to give wisdom to those caring for him. We are praying that surgery will not be needed, but above all that God will guide every decision and bring restoration according to His wisdom and mercy. We pray also for strength and peace for you as his wife, as you support and love him through this.
