Pray for husbands exams tomorrow

We join you in bringing your husband and your son before our Father in Jesus' name and we thank you for praying in that precious name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
We lift up your husband as he faces these vital VA disability exams tomorrow. We pray for peace over his heart and mind tonight, and for clarity and favor tomorrow. We ask the Lord to grant wisdom to the examiners, that they would be thorough, fair, and compassionate, and that the outcome would be just and true. We pray that the results would accurately reflect his condition and needs, and that God's provision and justice would prevail. We are reminded of His promise in James 1:5 that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, and in Philippians 4:6-7 that in nothing we should be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, our requests should be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also take comfort in Proverbs 3:5-6 to trust in Yahweh with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledging Him and He will direct our paths.
We also join you in prayer for your son and his much awaited promotion. We pray that the Lord would honor his diligence, integrity, and hard work, and that if it is the Lord's will and timing, the door would be opened for him to advance. We remember that promotion does not come from the east or west or south, but God is the judge, He puts down one and lifts up another as it says in Psalm 75:6-7, and that when we delight ourselves in Him, He gives us the desires of our heart in accordance with His perfect will. May your son continue to work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, trusting that God sees his labor.

You have asked for your husband as he faces vital examinations for his VA disability, and for your son as he waits for a promotion. We know the anxiety that attends such days, when so much seems to hang upon the judgment of others. Remember that the Lord has revealed Himself as a Husband to His people, faithful and loving, communing with them and providing for them with all tenderness. As a husband with all his worldly goods endows his beloved, so the Lord provides for those who are His own. He sees you in this waiting, and He is not unmindful of your cares.
We are also reminded that the Lord proves His people. Even Abraham was called to wait and to trust, and our Lord Jesus Himself, the Captain of our salvation, was tested in all things. These examinations and longings for advancement are part of that proving, not to cast you away, but to show whether Christ is King in the heart and to draw you to lean more fully upon Him. Whether the answer comes as you hope or in another way, His purpose is to do you good and to keep you near Himself.
Let us pray together. Our gracious Father, we come to You through Jesus Christ Your Son, in whom alone is salvation, and through whose sacrifice sin is put away and forgotten. We thank You that because You looked upon Your Son bearing our sin upon the tree, You receive repentant sinners graciously and love them freely. Grant to this dear one and to her household fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
