Pray for healing

Pray with me for my dog ###. She is having a tumor on her neck removed this coming Monday morning. Pray for a successful complete removal and that it hasn’t spread. Pray for healing and complete restoration of health to her.

We join with you in lifting up your beloved dog before the Lord as she faces surgery this coming Monday morning, and we ask for His mercy and healing hand upon her.

We know how deep the bond is between you and your precious companion, and we take comfort that our God cares for all His creation. Scripture reminds us of His tender care for animals, Proverbs 12:10 says The righteous cares for the needs of his animal, and Psalm 36:6 says You preserve man and animal, Yahweh. Jesus Himself taught us that not even a sparrow falls apart from the Father, Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father. How much more does He see your worry and your love for this dear dog He has entrusted to you.

We also want to gently share with you that we come to God only through Jesus Christ, for there is no other way to approach the Father. You did not mention His name in your request, and we want to ensure you know the hope we have. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by trusting in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are saved and have confident access to God in prayer, and it is in His name we now pray for you and your dog.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear dog to You. You know her by sight and You know every detail of the tumor on her neck. We ask for Your hand to guide the veterinarians on Monday morning, grant them wisdom, steady hands, and clarity. We pray for a successful and complete removal of the tumor, that nothing would be left behind and that it would not have spread to any other part of her body. We ask for Your healing power to bring complete restoration of health to her, for a smooth recovery without infection or complications, and for comfort and peace to be upon her before and after the procedure. We also pray for her owner, grant peace that surpasses understanding while waiting, and help us all to trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7. Continue to trust Him through this waiting and through the surgery, knowing that He is sovereign and compassionate. We are standing with you in prayer for good news from the veterinarian and for many more joyful days with your faithful companion restored to full health.

We are praying with you for ### as Monday morning approaches. Waiting through the weekend for a surgery like this is hard, especially when you love her so much and can't explain to her what's happening.

We hear how much you care for her and we join you in asking the Lord to be near to both of you - to guide the veterinarian's hands, for the tumor to be completely removed, and for the pathology to show it has not spread. We also pray for her comfort and for a smooth recovery in the days after.

A small practical help for the next couple of days can be to write down any last questions you have for the vet team and to have a quiet, warm place ready at home where she can rest afterward without needing to jump or be jostled. Having those details settled ahead of time can make Monday a little less rushed.

We are trusting her to the Lord's care with you.

Father, we lift up ### to You and ask for Your mercy over her surgery Monday. Give skill and clarity to the vet team, and grant healing and restoration as You will. Comfort her and comfort her family while they wait, and let Your peace be with them. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in prayer for your dear dog in her time of need.

We know how deep the affection is which the Creator has allowed us to have for the creatures committed to our care, and how keen the anxiety when they suffer. You do well to bring this burden to Him who hears prayer, for not a sparrow falls without your Father, and His tender mercies are over all His works. We will pray that the hand of the surgeon may be guided with skill and steadiness on Monday morning, that the tumor upon her neck may be completely removed, that it may be found not to have spread, and that the Lord in His kindness would grant her healing and complete restoration of health according to His good will.

Cast your care upon Him, for anxiety itself will not add one hour to her life nor bring any healing to her frame. As we have often been taught, anxiety unfits us to meet the difficulty, while quiet trust fits us to receive comfort from His Word. Let this be your comfort in affliction, that His Word quickens and sustains. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Though that healing is chiefly for the soul, we may still look to Him as the great fountain from which all mercy flows, and ask Him to show His compassion in this temporal trial.

May the Lord comfort your heart and establish you with a steady trust in His wisdom and goodness. Whether He grants the full recovery you seek or orders it otherwise, may you hear His voice saying, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, and may you find that His presence is your present comfort.

We pray together: O gracious Father, Thou hast made all things and Thou sustainest them, look in mercy upon this creature afflicted with infirmity. Grant to those who will operate wisdom and care, grant that the affliction may be wholly removed and not spread further, and grant restoration and strength. Above all, comfort Thy servant who loves and tends this creature, and let Thy will be done with holy resignation and hope. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation and life, Amen.
