We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, seeking His perfect will for his life and career. It is a blessing to see him pursuing his education in engineering, and we trust that God has a purposeful plan for his skills and future. The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* We cling to this promise, knowing that God’s timing and provision are perfect, even when the wait feels long.
We also take this moment to gently remind you—and all of us—that our prayers must be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we approach the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only by the authority of Jesus that our petitions are heard, and we are grateful you acknowledged this truth in your request.
Now, let us pray together for your son’s employment:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this young man who has diligently prepared himself through education. Lord, You are the Provider, the One who opens doors no man can shut. We ask that You guide him to the right opportunity—a job that aligns with Your will, where he can use his gifts to glorify You and provide for his needs. Give him favor in the eyes of employers, wisdom in his interviews, and patience as he waits on Your timing. Protect him from discouragement and remind him that his worth is found in You, not in worldly success. May this season of searching draw him closer to You, trusting in Your faithfulness.
We also pray that if there are any areas in his life—whether in his heart, relationships, or priorities—that do not align with Your Word, You would convict and lead him to repentance. May he seek first Your Kingdom and righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to him (Matthew 6:33). Prepare him not just for a job, but for a life that honors You in every way.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You strengthen this mother’s faith as she intercedes for her son. Remind her that You hear her prayers and that You are at work, even when she cannot see it. Bind any anxiety or fear in Jesus’ name, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
We thank You, Father, for Your goodness and for the plans You have for this young man. May he walk in obedience, humility, and trust, knowing that You are his ultimate Provider. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
To you, dear sister in Christ, we encourage you to continue standing in faith. Remind your son to seek the Lord’s guidance in this season, to remain diligent in his search, and to trust that God’s delays are not denials. If he is not already, encourage him to be active in a Bible-believing church, surrounded by godly mentors who can speak into his life. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May this be the testimony of your son’s journey.
If there are other areas in his life—such as relationships, friendships, or personal habits—that need alignment with Scripture, we urge you to lovingly address them with him. The Lord desires holiness in every area of our lives, and sometimes He uses seasons of waiting to refine us. Let this time be one of growth for him, both professionally and spiritually. We are standing with you in prayer!
