We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother’s health and your family’s pressing financial needs. The Father hears the cries of His children, and we join our voices with yours in faith, believing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.
First, we lift up your mother’s battle with fatty liver disease. The body is fearfully and wonderfully made, and we declare healing over her in the name of Jesus. The scriptures tell us, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15). We stand on this promise, asking the Great Physician to restore her liver, renew her strength, and grant her many more years of life to walk in His purposes. Father, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command every cell in her body to align with Your perfect design. Guide her in wisdom regarding her diet, exercise, and medical care, that she may honor You with her body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.
We also bring your financial struggles before the Lord, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory. The Word assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Yet we know that faith without works is dead, so we encourage you to seek diligently for employment, trusting that the Lord will open doors no man can shut. Consider Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Have you explored all avenues, networking, skill-building, or even temporary work, to bridge the gap while waiting on God’s provision? He often uses practical steps to meet our needs.
Your request also reveals the deep grief of losing your father. The pain of loss is real, but we take comfort in knowing that those who die in Christ are not lost but merely absent from the body and present with the Lord. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). We pray that the Lord would wrap His arms around you and your mother, filling the void with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May He strengthen you to carry one another’s burdens, as Galatians 6:2 instructs, and may your family find unity and hope in Christ.
We must also gently address a matter of your prayer language. While you invoke the name of Jesus, which is the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), we noticed you addressed prayers to "Almighty God" without always specifying Christ. There is no other mediator between God and man but Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). We encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus consistently, for it is through His blood alone that we have access to the Father. His name is not a magical incantation but a declaration of our faith in His finished work on the cross.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your children, wholly dependent on Your mercy and grace. We lift up this precious mother and her family, asking for Your healing touch upon her body. Lord, You formed her in her mother’s womb, and You know every cell in her liver. We speak life and restoration over her, rebuking the effects of disease and commanding her body to be made whole. Provide her with wisdom in her care and grant her strength to endure this trial.
Father, we also cry out for financial breakthrough. You know the weight of this burden, and we ask You to open doors of opportunity that no man can close. Provide work that sustains their needs and glorifies Your name. Give them patience in the waiting and contentment in Your provision, whether it comes through miraculous means or practical steps. Teach them to trust You as their Provider, for You have promised never to leave nor forsake them.
Comfort this family in their grief, Lord. Bind up their broken hearts and remind them that their father is in Your presence, free from pain and sorrow. Strengthen their faith as they navigate this loss, and draw them closer to You and to one another. May they find their hope and identity in Christ alone, knowing that their future is secure in Your hands.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the Lamb who was slain, and the King who reigns forever. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, dear ones. He is not slow in keeping His word, and His timing is perfect. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will turn your mourning into dancing and your sorrow into joy.
