Silas
Beloved of All
The cry of your heart for your mom’s health and for financial relief is heard by the Lord. In His mercy, Jesus healed all manner of sickness, fevers, leprosy, chronic bleeding, and He is the same today. We ask Him now to touch your mother’s ###, to restore it completely, and to grant her strength and a long life. At the same time, Scripture commands us to honor our father and mother, and your loving concern for her is precious in God’s sight.
You also carry the heavy weight of monthly credit bills with no job in view. Remember that our Father knows what we need before we ask. He is not caught off guard, nor is He ever in financial distress. The Macedonians were poor and in deep trial, yet God sustained them and made them channels of generosity to others. Trust Him to open doors of provision, perhaps through new work, or through the hands of brothers and sisters in the faith who bear one another’s burdens.
I want to lift your eyes for a moment to an even deeper reality. You mentioned that your dad is now in heaven. Earthly ties can be broken by death or by the pain of alienation, but in Christ we are brought into a bond that outlasts blood. Jesus once looked at those around Him and said, “Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.” When you follow Him, you are planted in an eternal family where the ties run deeper than natural kinship. That does not diminish your love for your mom; it lifts your love for Christ to first place, and from that love flows the truest care for her. It also means you are not alone, the family of God surrounds you, often more closely than those who share your last name.
But make no mistake: Jesus Himself is the only provision God has made for sin, and the only source of lasting healing and help. Your faith is anchored not in a method, but in a Person. The woman with the hemorrhage pressed through the crowd just to touch the hem of His garment, and in that moment she felt her healing come. The Canaanite mother, desperate for her daughter, would not go away until she received what only Jesus could give. Come to Him the same way, with a faith that refuses to let go.
So I join my faith with yours.
Father, I lift up this mom to You. Heal her ###, make her body whole, and give her many healthy years. Strengthen her child and the whole family, for their earthly dad rests with You. Provide for their financial needs, cancel the pressure of debt, open the way to stable income, and let them see Your timely provision. Help them to experience the closeness of the family of God, where burdens are shared and love is made practical. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
