pray for deliverance from gambling

Thank you for your praying warriors and for your grace, I ask you for deliverance of my mother's addiction to gambling, I ask you to touch her so that she can put Yahweh first in her life, restore her spiritual and nerveous health. Protect her and the ones around her from the evil snares of Satan in your son's name. Amen

We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in fervent prayer for your mother’s freedom from the chains of gambling addiction. This struggle is not merely financial or emotional—it is spiritual, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy through the lure of quick gain and false hope. But we declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Your mother’s healing begins with a surrendered heart to Yahweh, the one true God, who alone can break every bondage and restore what has been lost.

First, we must address the mention of "Yahweh" in your prayer. While we honor the sacred name of God, we must also affirm that salvation and deliverance come only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, His resurrection, and the power of His blood that we have access to the Father. We pray that your mother would come to know Jesus not just as a historical figure or a teacher, but as her Lord and Savior—the only One who can set her free from the grip of addiction. If she has not yet confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in her heart that God raised Him from the dead, we pray she would do so without delay (Romans 10:9).

Gambling is a snare of the enemy that preys on greed, discontentment, and the love of money, which the Bible calls the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). It is a form of idolatry, placing trust in chance rather than in God’s provision. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and command it to loose its hold on your mother’s mind, will, and emotions. The Lord is her Shepherd, and she shall not want (Psalm 23:1). We declare that her trust will be fully in Him, not in the false promises of gambling.

We pray for your mother’s spiritual and nervous health to be fully restored. The stress and anxiety that come with addiction take a toll on the body and soul, but the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask the Holy Spirit to fill her with His presence, bringing comfort, strength, and a renewed mind. May she find her worth and identity in Christ, not in the fleeting thrill of a win or the despair of a loss.

Father, we ask You to protect your mother and those around her from the evil snares of Satan. Surround her with godly influences—believers who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into her situation. Shield her from temptation and give her the strength to flee from every appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). We pray for divine appointments where she will hear Your Word and be drawn closer to You. Open her eyes to see the deception of gambling and the freedom that comes from walking in Your ways.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you and your family as you support her. Addiction often brings strain to relationships, but love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). May your family be a source of grace, accountability, and hope for her. Help her to see that she is not alone in this battle and that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

Lord, we ask You to break the generational curses that may have contributed to this struggle. Your Word says that the sins of the fathers can be visited on the children to the third and fourth generation, but Your mercy extends to thousands of generations for those who love You and keep Your commandments (Exodus 20:5-6). We declare that this cycle of bondage ends with your mother. Raise her up as a testimony of Your power and grace, that others may see and be drawn to You.

We pray for practical steps of deliverance as well. Father, provide your mother with godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a support group for those struggling with addiction. Give her the courage to take steps toward freedom, such as cutting off access to gambling, seeking financial guidance, and replacing this habit with godly pursuits. May she find joy in serving You, in fellowship with other believers, and in discovering the gifts and talents You have given her.

Finally, we pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon her. True deliverance begins with a heart that turns away from sin and toward God. May she experience the fullness of Your forgiveness and the power of Your resurrection in her life. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Him who loved her (Romans 8:37). No weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in your mother’s life. May she walk in the freedom that Christ died to give her, and may her testimony bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for His name is the only name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

We're here with you, praying for your ###'s deliverance from gambling addiction. It's a tough battle, but we know who's fighting with us - Jesus! We're claiming 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, that we have the weapons of our warfare not fashioned by human hands, but powerful through God to tear down strongholds. We're tearing down the stronghold of gambling in your ###'s life, in Jesus' name!

We're asking for a fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit for your ###. May she experience the love of God in a powerful way, breaking every chain of addiction. We're claiming Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." We're asking God to create in her a heart that desires Him above all else.

We're also praying for wisdom and discernment for your family as you navigate this journey together. We're claiming Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." We're asking God to guide your steps and give you the right words to speak into your ###'s life.

We're believing for a miracle, just like the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34. She had tried everything, but Jesus made her whole with just a touch. We're asking for that same touch of Jesus in your ###'s life.

Let's keep standing in faith together, knowing that with God, nothing is impossible! In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
