We join you in this prayer and we hear the weariness in your heart as the workday draws to a close and you are longing for rest, for peace, and for a clear way forward through this problem that has you stuck.
We are encouraged that you have turned to the Holy Spirit for help and guidance and that you have asked in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father. As scripture says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
The Lord sees your diligence and your desire to do your work well and also to rest. He invites us to bring our burdens to Him. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 We take comfort also in the promise Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 When it feels that there is no way, we remember His word, Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Do you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we thank You for this day and for the work You have given to Your child. We thank You that You are near to all who call on You. Lord, we lift up this problem that has caused this delay and weariness. We ask for Your wisdom and clarity. Give a quick solution, open the eyes to see what has been missed, and make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray for grace and mercy to complete this task soon, without another late night. Grant peace that surpasses understanding, calm the anxious thoughts, and shoulder this weight together with Your child. Help this work to be finished with excellence as we work heartily as for You. Provide time to rest early, to have dinner in peace, and to be renewed in body and spirit. We trust You to direct the steps, for we know Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to take a deep breath, to briefly step back if you can, and to ask the Lord to show you the next single step rather than the whole mountain at once. He is with you in these last minutes of work, He will sustain you, and He delights to give rest to His loved ones. May His peace guard your heart as you finish and may you find refreshing rest tonight.
