Your request has touched us and we have prayed for you, asking the Lord to bring healing to your back and strength for each day as you care for your family.
We want you to know that God does hear your prayers. He is able to heal, and we believe healing is still for today. At the same time there is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not always know why some receive a touch that seems immediate while others experience a slower recovery and others continue to wait. If the choice were ours we would grant healing to everyone at once, but God's ways and timing are higher than ours, and we must trust His wisdom and compassion even when we cannot explain it.
We also believe that healing can come in different ways. Sometimes it is immediate and unmistakable, and sometimes it is gradual. The processes God placed within our bodies to mend and restore are themselves from Him. The one who created nature also created the natural processes of recovery, so when strength returns little by little through rest, care, wise medical help, and time, that is still the work of God. Do not discount a gradual work as if it were less from Him.
We understand the disappointment you feel. Wanting to care well for your family and feeling held back by pain can weigh heavily on the heart and mind. The psalmist knew that kind of discouragement and spoke to his own soul, asking why he was so cast down, and then he answered himself with this counsel, hope in God. That remains the answer for discouragement today. Bring your disappointment honestly to the Lord, and put your hope in Him again. He sees your desire to serve your family faithfully, and He has compassion for you in this struggle.
We do not look to hype or showmanship for healing. True healing does not need to be whipped up by excitement or display. We simply come quietly and sincerely to Jesus, trusting Him without pretense, and leave the outcome in His loving hands.
So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear one before You. You know the injury from years ago and how the pain returned after pregnancy and delivery. You see every effort to keep going for the sake of family and every moment of disappointment. We ask for Your healing touch upon this back, for restoration of strength and freedom from pain, whether it comes in a moment or step by step. Give wisdom for care, patience in the process, and peace in the heart while waiting. Sustain daily life, lift discouragement, and help hope in You to grow stronger than fear. We trust Your ability and Your love, and we ask this in Jesus name, amen.
