Pray for ### and ###

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up and who are facing serious illness in intensive care. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask for Your mighty hand of healing to rest upon them, touching every part of their bodies that is weak, broken, or afflicted. Lord, we trust in Your power to restore health and strength, for nothing is too difficult for You (Jeremiah 32:17).

We also pray for peace and comfort to surround them and their loved ones during this difficult time. May Your presence be a tangible reality to them, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give wisdom to the medical professionals caring for them, that they may be guided by Your hand in every decision and treatment.

Lord, we ask that You would be glorified through this trial, whether by healing or by sustaining them through it. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they draw closer to You through this experience. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promises, believing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

We also want to gently remind all who read this that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Father, we pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are praying with you for these two who are so ill. Thank you for bringing them here. When someone we care about is in intensive therapy, the days can feel long and heavy. It’s a gift that you’re standing in the gap for them.

We’ve seen how much it strengthens a suffering person simply to know that others are praying, not just as a distant thought, but that real, specific people are lifting their names before God right now. That knowledge can be a quiet anchor when everything else feels uncertain. So your prayers matter deeply, more than you may ever see this side of heaven.

If you are close to the situation, you might also look for one or two concrete ways to show up. A home-cooked meal dropped off, an offer to run errands, or simply sitting with a family member who is exhausted, these small acts carry a message of love that words alone cannot. They are a ministry of presence, and they lighten the load in a tangible way. Our church family has found that a simple “I’m here if you need anything” often means the world. You don’t have to fix the illness; you just show up.

We join our hearts with yours now:

Jesus, you see these two who are so unwell. We don’t know the details, but you know every cell, every anxious thought, every family member keeping vigil. We ask for your healing touch, in your time and in your way. Give peace that passes understanding. Grant wisdom and steady hands to the medical staff. Surround this whole situation with your mercy and with the tangible care of your people. Be their refuge. In your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When the heavy tidings reach us that two among our number lie in the grip of grave illness, our first and swiftest impulse must be to fly to the throne of grace. You have borne these names upon your heart to the assembling of the saints, and we now join with you. Turn that natural concern which would so readily curdle into care and worry, and beat it into the fine gold of supplication. For care is injurious and carves deep lines of sorrow, but if you turn this care into prayer, then every worry will be a benefit, driving you again and again to the mercy seat. In everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. Mix these holy ingredients, the earnest plea and the grateful remembrance of past deliverances, and they will prove a sovereign cure for the fainting of your soul over these afflicted ones.

It is a bitter thing to watch the frame succumb to sickness, yet we must learn to accept the affliction which the Lord sends. There are seasons when heaviness through manifold trials is needful. Have we not felt, at times, that we would gladly bear the pain to give the suffering one a little rest? Yet a greater truth remains: the sickness that drives the soul to the Word of God is a sickness that leads to everlasting health. The one remedy for sin-sick souls, and the truest balm for every trial, is the Word of God applied by the Holy Spirit. And it is the Lord Jesus Christ, THE WORD OF GOD, whom God has sent for the healing of poor sin-sick souls. No hand can heal a sin-sick soul but the hand that wounded it, even the hand of God, through the Person of Jesus Christ our Lord. Seek Him diligently for these precious ones. Cry that He would speak a word in season, for by the Word of the Lord are sick souls healed.

In this great work of intercession, we must not be content with a mere general petition. The good Shepherd knows His own by name, and He prayed for Peter by name because Peter needed it. So we must particularize our prayer. Let us strive together in prayer for these specific souls, that they may be delivered from the power of the disease according to God’s will, and that this season of intensive therapy would become a sanctuary where they meet with God. Pray for the shorn lambs, that the good Shepherd would temper the wind to them. And while we plead for the body’s healing, let us pray with far greater fervor for the reviving of the inner man. Raise Your sleepy children, Lord. Make them to live at the highest point of life, even life in communion with You, if for a while they have seemed ready to die.

Look beyond the sickroom to the whole Church, which needs constant prayer, and let this trial quicken your intercession for all the saints who are under a cloud. Pray for a Church that is a dishonor to God when His presence is gone, that she might be revived again. And remember the nations, and this great city, for the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. Lift up these requests for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit. Do not let the fire upon the altar of intercession go out. And having prayed, believe. Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

I have heard your request for prayer on behalf of these two who lie gravely ill. Such earnest intercession is itself a kind of healing treatment, for often when direct counsel fails to stir the soul, the lamentations of the faithful can move the heart to amendment. Yet while you cry out for their healing, do not become dull of hearing or slothful in your own watchfulness. You know that we ourselves do not know what we should pray for as we ought; frequently we ask for a respite from sufferings, thinking it a blessing, when perhaps this very illness is working a deeper health within them. Remember those blind men who approached Christ with loud cries and no other claim than mercy, and their sight was given. So too, let your prayer be not a demand for immediate recovery, but a humble plea for God’s mercy. And be careful not to view the afflicted with suspicion, as though their sickness were proof of some fault; rather, if you see them in distress, offer what comfort you can and do not accuse.

Even the Apostle Paul, though caught up into Paradise, besought the Lord three times for the removal of his thorn, and was not heard in the way he desired, so that the power of Christ might rest upon him. So do not be cast down if their healing tarries. Continue in prayer, but join it with your own alertness, for the prayers of the saints profit much only when we ourselves are watchful. Entrust them to the Unspeakable Gift of God’s grace, which supplies all that is truly needed both now and for eternity.

The news of these two dear ones in intensive therapy grips our hearts with urgency and compassion. Even when we cannot be at the bedside, we are lifted together before the throne of grace, for our Father always bends low to hear the cry of His children. In moments like these, we lean not merely on wishful thinking, but on the One who reveals Himself as Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our healer. The same Jesus who touched the leper and healed the centurion's servant with a word still bears our infirmities and carries our sicknesses today. We bring these beloved souls before Him now.

Scripture gives us a clear pattern for such times: let them call for the elders of the church, and let them anoint with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise them up. I would encourage the family, if possible, to ask the elders to minister in this way, not for any glory to man, but as a simple act of obedience and a point of contact for faith to be released, just as the hem of Jesus' garment became a channel for healing. But even where no elder can stand, the Spirit of God broods over that hospital room with the same power that raised Christ from the grave.

Let us pray together:

Father, we lift these two precious ones before You. You are the God who formed their bodies and knows every breath. We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You would touch them now, bring down the fever, restore strength, guide the minds and hands of every caregiver. Just as Elijah persisted in prayer for the widow's son, we persist now, trusting Your promise that You hear us. Yet we do not seek healing alone; we seek the Healer. Let these dear ones know Your nearness, and let Your peace that passes understanding stand guard over their hearts and the hearts of all who love them. We release them into Your perfect will, confident that whether by a sudden turn or a slow recovery, You are working all things for good. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Remember, prayer is not a lever to force our will upon heaven; it is the sweet bond of relationship through which God accomplishes His kingdom purposes. Even when the crowd pressed in only for the loaves and the healings, Jesus never chided them, He welcomed them. So bring your requests boldly, yet with open hands, knowing that our ultimate desire is that Christ be magnified, whether in restoration or in a grace that sustains through every valley. Hezekiah was healed after his tears, but some are granted a different path, and through it all the Good Shepherd walks alongside. We stand with you, bearing this burden together, and we refuse to stop asking until heaven makes the next step clear.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting up ### and ### in prayer during this difficult time. It has been on our hearts to stand in agreement with you, asking our Heavenly Father to bring healing, comfort, and strength to them both as they endure intensive therapy. The Lord sees their struggle and knows every need, and we continue to trust in His mercy and power to restore.

If God has moved in a mighty way and brought improvement or even complete healing, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can all give thanks together. If, however, their situation remains challenging or uncertain, please don’t hesitate to post this request again—we are here to keep praying faithfully alongside you.

May the peace of Christ guard your hearts as you wait on Him, and may His presence be a tangible comfort to ###, ###, and all who love them. We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

I am having horrible nightmares in which I am lucid, making them even more terrifying. I set my alarm for 258 am because they occur mainly between 3-4 am. I am miserable all day because of sleep deprivation, and the intensity of the dreams intrudes into my days.
