Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this burden for a people who have not yet heard the gospel in their own language and do not yet have the Scriptures available to them. It is right to bring them before the Lord, for God desires that people from every tribe and tongue should come to know Him, and He is able to gather a multitude that no one can number.
Prayer is part of that priestly work of standing before God on behalf of people and then standing before people on behalf of God. As you pray, you are asking the Lord to make a way for His truth to be spoken clearly among them in words they can understand. Without a clear and understandable witness, people cannot know what is being said and cannot be prepared to respond. What builds faith and fellowship with the Lord is the plain truth of God spoken in love, not sensational stories or emotional excitement. There will always be fables and exaggerated claims that draw a crowd for a time, but they do not build up anyone. The Scriptures build up and encourage when they are faithfully taught and translated so people can actually hear and understand.
The only hope for any people is salvation through Jesus Christ alone. He died for broken lives and to bring reconciliation with God, and there is no other name by which people can be saved. So we pray that the Lord would raise up faithful servants who will go in love that is not puffed up or seeking position, servants willing to give themselves freely for the good of others and not to be a burden, working together each doing their part as God enables them.
Let us pray together that God would have mercy on this people group, that He would open doors for the translation and distribution of His Word in their own tongue, that He would send workers who will speak His truth clearly and faithfully, that He would protect them from deceivers who would comfort them in sin or turn them away from Christ, and that He would draw many among them to repentance and faith in Jesus, so that they too may be among those who will hunger no more and thirst no more, but will stand before Him in worship. May the Lord also strengthen you to continue steadfast in intercession with thanksgiving rather than complaining, trusting that no curse or power can prevail against those whom God has determined to bless and call to Himself.
