We hear your heart and we join with you in agreement before the Father for greater self control, focus, discipline and consistency, and we thank God that you desire to be more faithful in reading the Bible, in prayer, in stewardship of your body with eating and training, and in walking in the path He has for your life.
We want to encourage you that self control is not merely willpower but is a fruit of the Spirit who lives in us. Galatians 5:22-23 tells us the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. And 2 Timothy 1:7 says God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. This means discipline grows as we abide in Christ and yield to His Spirit. Proverbs 25:28 says Like a city that is broken down and without walls is a man whose spirit is without restraint, so we understand your desire for walls of discipline to be built up. 1 Corinthians 9:27 says I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected. The Lord honors discipline of the body for His glory, and 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, so eating and training with self control is part of honoring Him. Hebrews 12:11 also teaches us that all chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous, yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
For consistency in the Word and prayer, we encourage you to set a fixed time and place each day and to ask the Holy Spirit for help, for apart from Him we can do nothing. Joshua 1:8 says This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein, for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. Psalm 119:11 says I have hidden your word within my heart, that I might not sin against you, and Psalm 119:105 says Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. As you are consistent, even in small portions daily, God will build focus and hunger.
We also hear your burden about negativity and doubt in your thoughts. We want to gently rebuke the pattern of allowing doubt and negative thoughts to remain unchallenged, because Scripture calls us to active renewal of the mind. Romans 12:2 says Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says we bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and Philippians 4:8 calls us to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report. James 1:6 warns that he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed, and Mark 9:24 gives us a humble prayer when faith feels weak, I believe. Help my unbelief. We will pray that the Lord replaces doubt with confident trust.
Concerning your desire to live overseas for training and for your life path, and the need for money and for obstacles to be removed, we pray with you for clear guidance and provision, but we also encourage you to seek first His will above a specific plan we feel we are supposed to follow. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We pray that if this overseas training is indeed His will, He will open doors no man can shut and provide the finances in His timing, and if there is any obstacle He intends to remain for your refining, that He will give you grace to trust Him through it.
For your injury and your desire for peptides and PRP to heal quickly so you can train at full potential, we bring your body before the Great Physician. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. 3 John 1:2 says Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. We ask God for complete healing, and we encourage you to seek wise and godly medical counsel and not to put your ultimate trust in any quick treatment alone, but in the Lord who heals. We pray for discernment regarding any medical intervention, that you would steward your body with holiness and wisdom and not pursue anything that would harm your testimony or health.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by His blood we are forgiven and by His name we boldly approach the throne of grace. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, turning from sin and following Him.
We pray together now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up this dear one to You. We ask You to pour out Your Spirit of power, love and self control upon him. Build in him daily discipline to open Your Word and to pray, even when feelings are weak. Give him focus to fix his mind on things above, Colossians 3:2, and to take every thought captive to Christ. Wash away negativity and doubt and renew his mind, and increase his faith where it is small. Father, teach him to steward his body well in eating and in training, to do all to Your glory with temperance and consistency. Provide for every financial need according to Your riches, and make his path clear regarding living and training overseas. If this is Your will, remove every obstacle and open the doors, and if not, redirect his steps and give him peace. Touch his injury with Your healing hand, restore his health fully, guide every medical decision with wisdom, and let him train and live for Your purpose and not merely his own ambition. Help him to trust You more than any treatment or plan, and to seek first Your Kingdom. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to keep a simple daily rhythm, perhaps starting with prayer and a Psalm and a chapter of the New Testament each morning, journaling what God shows you, and praying briefly throughout the day. Fast from distractions that feed negativity, and speak Scripture aloud when doubt arises. Be faithful with little in finances and stewardship, and God will entrust you with more. We stand with you for healing, for provision, for discipline, and above all for deeper fellowship with Jesus, for when we delight in Him, He shapes our desires and our path.
