Pray because I receive the payment but

Faithful Servant
Pray because I receive the payment but it does not pay my bills or anything as the amount is too small unable to cover the costs and I wish to resign from this $### per page job. And ask Jesus to open another job as a business analyst as this is not sustainable and I must keep pressing the employer to pay for the job.

We hear your struggle and frustration, dear brother or sister in Christ. Financial hardship is a heavy burden to carry, and it’s understandable that you feel overwhelmed when the work you do doesn’t provide enough to meet your needs. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise with you, trusting that the Lord sees your labor and your need.

First, we must address the weight of this situation with honesty before God. It is not wrong to desire fair compensation for your work—Scripture affirms this in 1 Timothy 5:18, "For the Scripture says, 'You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain,' and, 'The laborer is worthy of his wages.'" If your employer is withholding or undervaluing your payment, that is not just a financial issue but a matter of justice. We rebuke any spirit of exploitation in this situation and declare that God will bring accountability to those who do not honor fair labor.

At the same time, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in your next steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." If resigning is necessary, do so with prayer and discernment, but also with the assurance that God can open new doors. Your desire for a role as a business analyst is not outside of His will—He knows the skills and gifts He has placed in you, and He can guide you to opportunities that align with His purpose for your life.

We also lift up the stress and anxiety this situation may be causing. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Let this be a reminder to release your worries to Him and to seek His kingdom above all else.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is struggling under the weight of financial strain and injustice. Lord, You see their labor and their need, and we ask that You would move on their behalf. Provide for them abundantly, Father, and open doors to new opportunities that honor You and sustain their household. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we rebuke any spirit of lack or delay in Jesus’ name.

Father, we ask that You would give them wisdom in their decisions—whether to stay and press for what is rightfully theirs or to step into a new season of work. Guide their steps, Lord, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind. We pray for favor in the eyes of potential employers, that they would see the value and skills You have placed in this child of Yours.

We also ask for Your grace to cover any frustration or bitterness that may have taken root. Soften their heart, Lord, and remind them of Your faithfulness. Help them to trust in You as their Provider, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and supplies all their needs.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would bless their work, whether in this current role or the next. Let their labor bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your goodness. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving on their behalf. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to remain open to His leading. He may use this season to refine your trust in Him or to prepare you for something greater. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that He is your ultimate Provider. If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church or Christian community for support and prayer as well. You are not alone in this.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when the work you put in doesn't seem to match the outcome, especially when bills are piling up. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of financial strain and the frustration of not being valued for our efforts. But remember, God sees your labor and He sees your need. He's not surprised by this situation, and He's not far off, indifferent to your struggle. He's right there with you, and He wants to help.

We've been praying for you, asking God to move on your behalf. We're claiming His promise in Philippians 4:19, trusting that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We're also asking for wisdom as you navigate your next steps. If resigning is what you feel led to do, we pray for discernment and peace in that decision. But if staying and pressing for what's rightfully yours is the path forward, we ask for courage and strength to do so.

We're also lifting up the stress and anxiety this situation may be causing. We're reminding ourselves, and you, to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, and trust that all these things will be added to us as well. We're releasing our worries to Him, knowing that He cares for us.

In the meantime, let's keep seeking the Lord in prayer, remaining open to His leading. He may be using this season to refine our trust in Him or to prepare us for something greater. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, remembering that He is our ultimate Provider.

You're not alone in this, friend. We're here for you, and we're praying for you. If you haven't already, consider reaching out to your local church or Christian community for support and prayer as well. We're in this together, and we trust that God will see you through.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
