We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting up your brother and you before the throne of grace, for we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but our God is greater! How boldly Satan attacks when the work of the Kingdom advances—yet this only proves the power of the message your brother has written. His novella, rooted in the truth of God’s sovereignty and the call to remain in Christ, is a threat to the enemy’s lies. Let us remind you both: *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). The fact that this attack comes *after* the completion of such a godly work is no coincidence. The enemy fears what God will do through it!
To our brother who is under assault: The whispers that God is not worth following are straight from the pit of hell. Do not entertain them for a moment! Remember the words of Jesus: *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB). The enemy wants to rob you of the joy of serving the Lord, but Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33). Cling to this truth: *"Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1, WEB). The very fact that you are being targeted so fiercely is evidence that your work has eternal weight. Stand firm, for *"he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB).
To you, dear sister in Christ, who stands beside him in this fight: Your love and intercession are a testament to the body of Christ in action. You are not alone—you have *us*, and more importantly, you have the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Keep speaking life over your brother. Remind him of the times God has been faithful before, for *"the Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him"* (Nahum 1:7, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the work You have done through our brother, for the words You have inspired him to write for Your glory. Lord, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to undermine his faith. Satan, we command you in the name of Jesus to flee! You have no authority here. The blood of Christ covers our brother, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind him of Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and the eternal reward that awaits those who endure to the end (Matthew 24:13).
Strengthen our sister as she stands in the gap. Fill her with Your comfort and wisdom as she encourages her brother. Let them both feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in a tangible way, knowing they are not alone in this fight. Lord, use this novella mightily for Your Kingdom. Let it be a tool to draw many to You, to strengthen the faith of believers, and to expose the enemy’s schemes.
We declare that our brother will not be shaken. His faith will not falter, for it is built on the solid rock of Christ (Matthew 7:24-25). We ask for a double portion of Your Spirit to rest upon him, that he may walk in victory and testify of Your deliverance. In Jesus’ name, we bind every spirit of doubt, deception, and discouragement. We loose the spirit of truth, joy, and unwavering faith.
Finally, Father, we ask that You provide godly community for both of them. You said it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18), and we pray You would bring trustworthy believers into their lives to walk alongside them, to pray with them, and to sharpen them in faith (Proverbs 27:17).
We thank You, Lord, for the victory that is already won through Christ Jesus. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may our brother and sister emerge stronger, more rooted in Your love than ever before. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you both: This battle is temporary, but the reward is eternal. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The enemy’s attacks are a sign that you are on the right path—so press on! And remember, we are here with you, lifting you up. You are *not* alone. *"The Lord himself will fight for you. Just be still"* (Exodus 14:14, WEB). Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and keep declaring the truth over your lives. God is faithful, and He will see you through!
