Praise The Lord!

MSC Prayers

Humble Servant of All
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. With all of the so-called 'Free Time' I have now since I've been hospitalized, I feel as if I'm spending way too much time sending emails out. With that said, I'm hoping and praying that my prayer requests simply help folks out there, who know and who don't know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior a little over ### years ago, and I regret to admit, I was back slidden for probably about ### of those years. I've said it before, and I'll share it again, I'm alive today BY THE GRACE OF GOD! I was involved in all sorts of foolish and a large number of illegal activities while my back was turned on God. I was a drug and alcohol user/abuser (which about ### years ago nearly killed me, but God used that 'near-death experience' to draw me back into fellowship with Him). I was a thief, I 'assisted' a prostitute, I was a liar, and the list goes on and on. God's Love and God's Abilities are the reason I'm alive today, and Praise The Lord! I'm living in a facility which is owned and run by Born-Again Christians. God Is Great! And May His (our Heavenly Father) Will Be Done in all our lives and in the lives of everyone whom we deal with both directly and indirectly be done. I'm probably spending far too much time concerning this: I reside in an adult living facility in the Pacific Northwest, and have been for a ### years or so. I'm physically and mentally disabled, primarily due to alcohol abuse. My mom, who is about ### years older than I am is living in a facility in the South. Up until I was hospitalized I had been the primary caregiver for her. I miss visiting with her. And I'll be honest, talking to her on the telephone, and sending her emails and texts just doesn't seem to be the way I should be communicating with her. All I ask is that our Heavenly Father Open Up Some Doors and Help me to deal with the situation we are both now living in. May God's Will Be Done. I ask this in Jesus' Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

We rejoice with you and thank our Heavenly Father for your testimony and for His grace that has kept you alive and brought you back into fellowship with Him. What you have shared is a beautiful picture of redemption and we praise God that you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and that even after years of being backslidden, His mercy did not let you go.

We are reminded of what is written, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 and Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. Your past involvement in drug and alcohol abuse, theft, lying and other foolish and illegal activities has been washed away by the blood of Christ, and that near death experience you spoke of is a testimony that God works all things for good for those who love Him. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. We thank God that He used even that dark valley to draw you back to Himself, for His love and His power are indeed the reason you are alive today.

We understand your concern about spending too much time sending emails during this hospitalization and your desire that your prayer requests simply help others, whether they know Jesus or not. We encourage you that God can use even this season of hospitalization and limited mobility for His glory. Your free time is not wasted when it is offered to Him in prayer, in the study of His Word, and in encouraging others toward Christ. At the same time we encourage you to rest in Him and not be anxious about whether you are doing too much or too little. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

We also lift up your physical and mental disabilities and the effects of past alcohol abuse, and we thank God that He has placed you in a facility owned and run by born again believers where you can be cared for and encouraged in the faith. We pray for your mother who is living in a facility in the South and for the ache you feel in not being able to visit her and be her primary caregiver as you once were. God sees that longing and He honors the love and honor you have for your mother. We pray that He will open doors according to His perfect will for communication, for comfort for you both, and for His provision over each of your living situations. We are comforted that He promises, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3.

We join together in prayer for you and your mother.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your amazing grace and mercy in our brother's life. Thank You for saving him, for forgiving his many sins, for delivering him from death and drawing him back when his back was turned on You. Lord, we thank You that You are faithful even when we are not, and that Your love endures forever. We ask that You continue to strengthen him in his walk with You, that You guard his heart and mind from returning to old patterns, and that You fill this time of hospitalization with Your peace, Your Word, and Your purpose. Help him to use his time wisely for Your glory and to rest in Your grace without condemnation.

Father, we lift up his physical and mental needs to You. You know his disabilities and his infirmities. We ask for Your healing touch according to Your will, for comfort, for strength each day, and for the assurance that Your grace is sufficient for him, for Your power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We also lift up his dear mother in the South. Lord, You know the distance between them and the longing in his heart to visit and care for her. We ask that You open doors that no man can shut, that You provide for both of them in their respective facilities, that You surround his mother with godly care and with Your presence, and that You keep their bond strong even across the miles through phone calls, messages, and above all through prayers lifted to You. Let Your will be done in both of their lives and in the lives of everyone they deal with directly and indirectly. Give them both peace, hope, and the joy of knowing that You are near to all who call on You.

We thank You for the born again Christians who run the facility where he lives, and we ask You to bless them and use them to minister to him and through him to others. May his testimony and his prayer requests continue to point many to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our only access to You, for there is salvation in none other. Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your story and your heart to help others know Jesus. Thank you for being honest about the years you walked away and the grace that brought you back. That nearness to God after a near death experience is a powerful testimony, and we thank God you are now in a place where faith is part of daily life.

We hear how heavy it feels to be in the hospital, far from your mom in the South, and to miss simply being with her in person. It makes sense that phone calls and texts feel thin compared to sitting together, especially when you were her caregiver. And it is understandable to wonder if you are sending too many emails when you have a lot of free time on your hands. Your care for others comes through clearly.

One small step that might help is to ask a staff member or chaplain at your facility to help you set a simple rhythm for staying connected with your mom, perhaps a regular video call at a set time each week, and to point you toward any fellowship or worship gatherings in the home where you are. Being with God's people in person, even in small ways, can ease some of the loneliness while you are hospitalized.

Father, we lift this brother to You and thank You for Your grace that has kept him. We ask for Your comfort for him and for his mom in this season apart, for wisdom for the staff caring for them both, and for Your will to open the right doors for their communication and care. Give him peace today and strengthen his hope in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We rejoice with you in the great mercy which has kept you and restored you, for you have proved in your own life that salvation is of God's will and that His grace can pluck a brand from the fire. You were, by your own confession, far off, given to those things which destroy both body and soul, and yet the Lord, who is King and will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, laid His hand upon you even in that near death and turned your face back toward Himself. This is no small thing, that He should change the human will and make a man willing in the day of His power, working in him to will to do of His own good pleasure. Give Him all the glory for it, and wonder at it, and then tell it to others with gusto, for a saved sinner is a wonder indeed.

We hear your burden concerning your present place and your dear mother so far from you in the South. It is painful when those who love one another are parted by providence, and to be unable to visit as you once did must try your heart. Yet we rest assured that as surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so His will is the great heart of providence sending its pulse through even the most distant limbs of human life. All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in His plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. You are not where you are by chance, nor is your mother where she is without His knowledge. He who pities His children as a father pities his own will teach you again and again with patience, and He will not leave His purpose half accomplished but will carry it on till He brings His people home.

Do not be troubled that you have much time upon your hands in the hospital and in the facility where the Lord has placed you among those who know Him. That time is not wasted if it is spent in learning Christ and then in teaching what you learn to others, for what is learned and then told out is kept sweet in the soul. Your emails and prayers, when they point others to Jesus Christ as the only Lord and Saviour, are a true service. Continue in it, yet be at peace, for the Lord does not measure our usefulness by the multitude of our words but by our faithfulness to His revealed will.

We will pray for you and for your mother, that the Lord in His wisdom would open such doors as are according to His will, and give you both contentment in the station to which He has appointed you. We ask that He would grant you strength in body and in mind as it pleases Him, and greater strength still in faith, that you may be preserved and kept even to resurrection and eternal glory, for the preservation and perseverance of His people rests upon His will. May He comfort your mother and comfort you, and keep you both in His fatherly pity, and make His will your will, so that you can say with your Lord, not as I will, but as Thou wilt, and find therein your rest.

May the Lord keep you close to Himself, make His Word precious to you day by day, and cause you to know more and more that no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. May His will be done in your life and in your mother's life, and in all those with whom you deal both directly and indirectly, and may you see His hand working all things for good to them that love Him. We commend you to His grace, which alone has kept you and which alone will keep you to the end. Amen.
