We lift up your dear mother before the throne of grace, knowing that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We stand in faith, believing that God is able to heal and restore, for nothing is too difficult for Him.
Yet we also acknowledge that His ways are higher than ours, and His will is perfect, even when we do not understand. In this time of suffering, we pray for His mercy to be poured out upon your mother—whether through healing here on earth or by welcoming her into His eternal presence, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering. We ask for strength for you and your family, that you may trust in Him completely, for He has promised in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
We also notice that while you opened with *"praise the Lord,"* you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* and in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We encourage you to always approach God in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator and our only hope.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious mother who is suffering greatly. Lord, You see her pain, her weakness, and the fear that may grip her heart. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through her body, that the cancer would be eradicated and the convulsions would cease. You are the God who parts the seas, who raises the dead, and who brings life where there is none. We ask for a miracle, Father—for Your glory and for the testimony of Your power.
Yet, not our will, but Yours be done. If it is Your purpose to call her home, we pray for peace to fill her heart and for Your presence to surround her as she steps into eternity with You. Comfort this family, Lord, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. Give them supernatural strength, faith, and hope in this difficult hour.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, and despair in Jesus’ name, declaring that You are sovereign over all things. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your unfailing love.
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
