We rejoice with you in this wonderful praise report and we give thanks to God with you for answering prayer and for drawing you and your daughter closer together. We know that every good and perfect gift comes from our Father above and this restoration is truly a gift from His hand. James 1:17 reminds us that Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights. We also join you in giving thanks as we are taught in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
We are so encouraged that you gave thanks to Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Your acknowledgment of Jesus honors Him and we praise God for your faith.
We pray together for you and your daughter now.
Father in heaven, we thank You together in the name of Jesus Christ for Your mercy and grace in restoring this relationship between parent and child. We praise You for moving in your daughter's heart to reach out and for bringing closeness where there was distance. We ask You to continue this healing work, to guard this relationship with Your love and peace, and to help both to walk in forgiveness, kindness, and humility toward one another. Help them to bear with each other and to forgive as You have forgiven us. Let Your love be the foundation of their bond and let their communication be seasoned with grace. We ask that You draw both hearts ever closer to You first, that their relationship with each other would reflect Your love. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to nurture this restored relationship with prayer, patience, and godly love. Psalm 103:13 says Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him, and this is a beautiful picture of the compassionate love we are called to show in our families. Ephesians 4:32 teaches us to be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. As you move forward, continue to commit your relationship to the Lord in prayer, speak truth in love, and extend grace. We pray that God will use this reconciliation to strengthen your faith and to be a testimony of His goodness, and that He will keep you both in His perfect peace as you continue to seek Him together.
