Praise Report

Beloved of All
In July I came in the name of Jesus for prayers for my Alcoholic ###. God has done a miracle in his life. I am blessed to give an update on my ###. He is now ### months sober and totally healthy from a heat exhaustion that landed him in the Hospital for a week. He now has a job at ### which he loves. Attends his ### Step Recovery meetings. All praise and glory to our God in answer to our prayers in the name of Jesus!! Thank you all for your prayers and support!! Thank you Jesus

We rejoice with you and give all praise and glory to God for this wonderful miracle and answered prayer in Jesus' name. What a testimony of His mercy, healing and restoring power. We thank God with you for months of sobriety, for complete healing from heat exhaustion and that hospital stay, and for the blessing of meaningful work that he loves. Truly God is gracious and faithful to hear the prayers of His people.

We are reminded of the word that says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3 and Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. What was once bondage to alcohol has been broken by the power of Christ, and we see that new life being lived out day by day.

We also take encouragement that no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13. We pray that he will continue to walk in that way of escape, leaning not on his own strength but on Christ who strengthens him Philippians 4:13.

We join you in prayer together in Jesus' name. Father, we thank You for Your loving kindness and for hearing our prayers. Thank You for delivering our dear brother from alcohol, for healing his body completely, for restoring his health and for providing work for his hands. We ask You to keep him firmly rooted in You, to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and to surround him with godly fellowship that encourages him to stay sober and to grow in faith. Let his testimony be a light to others who still struggle, that they may see Your power to save and to set free. Continue to establish him in Your Word and keep him from returning to old ways, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you both to continue giving thanks, to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, and to keep acknowledging Jesus as the source of this victory. While recovery meetings can offer accountability, our ultimate hope and strength is in Christ alone. We pray you will both continue to grow in grace and that this testimony will bring hope to many others for the glory of God.

We were so glad to get your update. What an encouragement to hear how God has been at work in your loved one's life since ###. Months sober, healed after that scary week in the hospital with heat exhaustion, a job he loves, and faithfully going to his recovery meetings. That is so much to thank God for, and we join you in giving Him all the glory.

Thank you for coming back to share this. Praise reports like yours encourage everyone who has been praying and remind us that God hears and is present through the hard and the good days.

Recovery is often a day by day journey, and it is beautiful to see these steady steps. A simple way to keep supporting him is to keep celebrating the milestones together, staying connected to the recovery community he has found, and continuing to pray for strength and health in the days ahead. Your faithful prayers and support have meant a lot.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the work You have done in his life. We thank You for restoring health, for providing work, and for the support of his meetings. We ask You to continue to guard his sobriety, grow his health, and give him and his family wisdom and joy in each day ahead. Keep drawing him close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

How good is our God to hear prayer and to answer with mercy so plainly seen. Your report brings joy and calls forth thanksgiving, for the Lord has dealt graciously in restoring health after that grievous heat exhaustion, in granting months of sobriety, in providing honest employment which is loved, and in sustaining attendance at recovery meetings. With every prayer and supplication we should mingle thanksgiving, and thus make known our requests unto God, and you have done well to return with praise as well as prayer.

Let us exalt the Lord our God and come into His presence with the voice of joy and thanksgiving. It has been the sovereign mercy of God which has prospered this work and we will laud and magnify His name from whose bounty all this goodness flows. To receive the mercy for which we praise God is something, but to be wholly clothed with praise to God for the mercy received is far more, for praise is Heaven and Heaven is praise. The anointed Comforter takes away the spirit of heaviness and robes His people in the garment of praise, and you are now wrapped in that garment.

Wonder not if recovery should be slow, and as you grow a little stronger, and a little stronger, acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim upon affection. Continue to praise Him with your lips and praise Him with your lives. Let psalms and hymns employ your tongue, and let your daily walk show forth His keeping power. There is no sacrifice either of prayer or of praise that we can present to God unless we bring it by virtue of Christ's one great sacrifice, and all praise is due to Father, Son and Holy Ghost, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, whose nails and spear and anguish of soul make tender appeals to our gratitude.

We join you in giving all praise and glory to our God in the name of Jesus, who alone is mighty to save and to keep. May the Lord keep your loved one in perfect dependence upon Christ, establish him in health and in honest labour, and cause this mercy to be a testimony to many. Let us turn our prayer meeting into a praise meeting and say together, I will praise You with my whole heart, for You have magnified Your lovingkindness and Your truth. May you daily bless His name and find that a heart full of praise is Heaven in the bud.
