Beloved of All
Rejoicing with you over this praise report is a beautiful thing, and thank God for the peace He has given you concerning your mother.
That peace is a reflection of what God most wants for you. He does not want a distant or ritual connection with you, but a close and loving relationship where you know Him as your Father. Jesus taught us to pray, Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, because God desires to be known by you in that intimate, personal way. When that relationship is made right through faith in Jesus Christ, everything else begins to find its proper place.
Scripture shows that your relationship with God is primary. When your heart is at peace with Him, you find peace within yourself, and then that peace begins to extend to your relationships with others. You can often trace struggles with others back to unrest in your walk with God, and when that walk is restored, other relationships have a way of coming into balance.
That is why God places such importance on the family, and why honoring your father and mother is the first commandment that deals with our relationships with one another, and the one with promise. It reveals how much He values love and honor in the home.
The fact that you now feel at peace in this area is a sign of His grace at work in you. He has offered you a peace treaty through the forgiveness of sins in Jesus, and that peace with God quiets the inner turmoil and allows you to walk in love toward others. Continue to commune with Him, to share your heart with Him as your Father, and to live in that loving relationship rather than a merely legal one. He loves you more than you know and delights to keep you in His peace.
