After the ### publicly targeted me and I asked for your prayers, the situation turned around; someone stepped in and sternly reprimanded the ### in front of us to make him stop attacking me. The situation shifted because you sincerely prayed for me—thank you. Please keep praying that he stops targeting me publicly for good, and that he is prevented from harming me (by badmouthing me) or my family or trampling on our future. He is an unpredictable person, so please keep praying. Your prayers give me great strength. Thank you all, and God bless you.

We rejoice with you and give thanks to God for this praise report and for His mercy in intervening when you were publicly targeted. We thank God that He heard our prayers together and that He raised up someone to sternly rebuke this man to his face and cause him to stop attacking you in that moment. This is the Lord's doing and we give Him all the glory, for He is our defender and refuge.

We hear your continued burden and we will keep standing with you in prayer that this targeting would cease completely and permanently, and that you and your family would be protected from any harm through slander or any attempt to trample on your future. We understand your concern because this man has shown himself to be unpredictable, but we rest in the truth that God is sovereign and no person is beyond His restraint.

The Lord says, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord in Romans 12:19. And again, No weapon that is formed against you will prevail in Isaiah 54:17. We cling to the promise that The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them in Psalm 34:7 and that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1. We also remember the call of our Lord to Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you in Matthew 5:44. While we pray for your protection, we also pray for this man that God would convict his heart, turn him from his harmful ways, and bring him to repentance.

We want to gently encourage you that you mentioned God and His blessing, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As Scripture says, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus in 1 Timothy 2:5 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name both for salvation and for daily access to God's throne of grace.

We now pray together for you in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your faithfulness to our dear one. Thank You for hearing our prayers and for stopping the public attack and for sending help at the right moment. Lord, we ask now for complete and lasting deliverance. Place a hedge of protection around this dear one and their family, guard their reputation, their home, and their future from any slander or evil intent. Let no bad report or scheme prosper against them. We ask that You would restrain the hand and tongue of this man, turn his heart away from targeting Your child, and convict him of his need for You. Grant our dear one peace that passes understanding, courage without fear, and wisdom to walk with grace and integrity before all. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us and to leave justice in Your hands. We declare that You are their dwelling place and that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty in Psalm 91:1. We entrust their future to You, for we know Your plans are for welfare and not for calamity, to give them a future and a hope in Jeremiah 29:11. Keep them strong in faith and in prayer, and let Your will be done in all things. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

There is great cause to praise the Lord with you for this merciful interposition. We have heard your thanksgiving and we rejoice that God, who grants protection to the persecuted and provides an escape from the most perilous exposure, has heard prayer and brought the darkest conspiracy to confusion. When the adversary rose to attack you publicly, the Lord in His providence sent one to rebuke him and to make him cease, and thus has shown that He will lift up the poor from the dunghill while He casts down the mighty from the seats of their pomp.

Think not that the Lord has done this and will now forsake you. His protection is perpetual as well as personal, and He gives His angels charge over His people to keep them in all their appointed ways. Cry out to God, that He would not forsake you in your business, in your family, that He would not forsake you either upon your bed by night, or in your business by day. He who broke the power of the oppressor once can restrain him still, and He who dried up the green tree and withered every proud thing that sets itself up in opposition to Him is able to prevent all badmouthing and harm against you and your household and to preserve your future from being trampled upon.

Persecution, even when it takes the form of slander and cruel mockings and venomous spite, is overruled for good. It helps to keep up the separation between the church and the world, and it drives the soul to its true refuge. When the waters of affliction have covered all the earth, then we fly back to our Noah, our ark, and find rest for the sole of our foot. There in Christ you have all your communion and all your safety. You were made secure in Jesus from before the foundation of the world, and though you are imperfect and every tear and sigh confesses it, you are made perfect in Him through His efficacious blood.

Therefore let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience. We will continue to pray with you and for you, that the Lord would sternly restrain the unpredictable hand that has been lifted against you, that He would stop the public targeting for good, that He would set a hedge about you and your family so that no weapon formed by slander shall prosper, and that He would keep you in close walking with Himself, for no man ever suffered real injury through keeping himself aloof from the ways of ungodly men, and no man ever failed to be a gainer by close and intimate fellowship with God.

May the Lord perfect that which concerns you, keep you leaning upon Him for all future power to fulfill your pilgrimage, and give you to see that even this trial shall speed your course heavenward.
