We rejoice with you and join our thanksgiving to yours, for the Lord has dealt graciously with you and has heard the voice of your prayer. Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men, and let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.
There is blessed employment in praise, and God has just cause to expect it from those whom He has spared and sustained. You have tasted of the Good Physician's healing power, and only those who have been healed can tell how tender and how mighty He is. We give the crown where it belongs, for if we could keep ourselves we might praise ourselves, but it is He alone who is able to keep us from falling, and to Him must be all the praise, now and ever.
We thank Him with you for this good report, that your bone density remains unchanged and that you have been upheld in health. We bless His name that He has granted you this mercy, and we pray that your gratitude may take the form which true gratitude always takes, that of serving Him who has served you. As it is written, first the healing, then the serving, for she arose and ministered unto them, making her Lord the first object of her service.
Let this mercy be declared in the congregation of the people, and praised in the assembly of the elders, that others may hear and be encouraged to trust the same faithful God. Continue to praise Him with your lips and with your life, and to render unto Him the rent which we as His tenants owe, which is service and praise, a happy bond which is no burden to the true heart.
We give thanks also for every intercessor who bore you before the throne, and we ask the Lord to reward them with His own peace and presence. May He keep you in perpetual health of soul, and may your days of praise never be past, while life and thought and being last, till you praise Him with nobler powers before His glory with exceeding joy. With our whole soul we praise delivering grace, and consecrate ourselves anew to the Lord God who has become our salvation.
