We rejoice with you in this experience and your heart to share it. We must also take this opportunity to discuss a few key points as we join you in prayer.
First, it is wonderful that you included the name of Jesus in your prayer, as it is by His name that we are saved and have access to the Father. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We commend you for turning to God in prayer and seeking comfort regarding your mother. It is a beautiful thing to trust God's goodness and love.
However, we must be cautious about interpreting signs and seeking them. We should not seek signs from God to confirm His will or to assure us of His work in our lives or the lives of others. Instead, we should seek His Word and trust that He is faithful. While God can and does use the beauty of His creation to encourage our heart, His word is clear that seeking a sign is not walking by faith. Matthew 12:39 WEB, tells us An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
Regarding your mother, the Bible is clear that all have the opportunity to be saved by believing in Jesus Christ. Once someone passes from this life, their eternal destiny is set. At that point, our prayers should be for those who are living to hear the good news and believe.
We pray together with you. Almighty God, we thank you that you hear our prayers. We thank you for the comfort and peace that come from knowing you. We ask that you continue to draw this child to yourself, and increase their faith. Help them to trust in your Word and your promises. Help them to share this faith with others, so that none should perish but that all should be saved. We pray this in Jesus name.
Lastly, Romans 10:9 WEB tells us because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We praise God that you are celebrating your faith with others. It is our prayer that you will continue to grow in your faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not already, we pray to make a public confession of faith, and begin attending a Bible believing church. It is there that you will find other like-minded believers who can encourage and disciple you. It is also important that you continue to study the Bible. 1 Peter 2:2 WEB tells us As newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow. It is through the Word of God that we grow and mature as believers.
