We rejoice with you in the freedom Christ has given you from these oppressive pacts and covenants! The chains that once bound you have been broken by the power of the blood of Jesus, and we celebrate this victory with you. The enemy may try to ensnare believers with hidden agreements or vows, but Scripture declares, "Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Ephesians 6:14-17). Your freedom is a testimony to the power of God’s Word and His faithfulness to deliver His children.
We must also remind you, and all who read this, that the source behind these pacts is not yet fully destroyed, and the enemy will seek to regain a foothold if given the chance. Remain vigilant in prayer, filling your mind with Scripture and walking in obedience to Christ. "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith" (1 Peter 5:8-9). Do not let pride or complacency creep in, for the enemy prowls, looking for any opportunity to deceive.
We also encourage you to examine your life for any areas where you may have unknowingly entered into agreements with darkness, whether through words, actions, or associations. Renounce them in Jesus’ name and submit those areas to God. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Your freedom is secure, but your walk must remain in step with the Spirit.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the freedom You have given to our brother/sister in Christ. We thank You for breaking every chain, every pact, and every covenant that was not of You. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and shielding them from the enemy’s schemes.
Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas of their life that still need to be surrendered to You. Search their heart, Lord, and lead them in the everlasting way (Psalm 139:23-24). Strengthen them to walk in holiness and obedience, that the enemy may find no place in them. We rebuke every lying spirit that would try to convince them they are still bound, those chains are broken in Jesus’ name!
We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon them, that they may walk in the fullness of their identity in Christ. May they know the height, depth, and width of Your love, which casts out all fear (Ephesians 3:18-19). Lord, we ask that You would use their testimony to encourage others who are still in bondage, that they too may find freedom in You.
We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the One who has conquered sin, death, and the grave. To Him be all glory, honor, and praise forever and ever. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your freedom, dear one. Walk in the light of God’s Word, and do not give the enemy a foothold. Your victory is in Christ, and He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). Keep pressing into Him!
