Good Morning Family,
“Making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil.†– Ephesians 5:16
The Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics participated in a Game 7 for the NBA Championship last night. To a casual basketball fan, the game did not have many stand out or exciting plays. It was if at times this type of basketball could not be played by professionals. What we should keep in mind is that when defense is in the mix, all shots and passes become more difficult to complete. It was certainly a game that every play led to the climax at the end…
There was one moment which can be recalled in the game where a big shot was made. Laker guard Derek Fisher stepped up and made a 3 pointer which somewhat changed the complex and momentum of the game. What is interesting about this shot? Derek Fisher has been doing this throughout his career. He may not be the quickest guard, the best shooter or the best ball handler. What does he do – He makes the most of every opportunity…
This is metaphorical for us. We should make the most of every opportunity that is presented to us. The opportunity should be used for life’s lessons, growth, and finding out about our courage level. Are we ready for the moment or are we afraid of failure? Now is the time for us to develop a strategic plan for our lives. The foolish person has no strategy and misses out on every opportunity that God presents to be a witness of his glory…
“I need thee…I need thee…Every hour I need thee…O bless me now my Savior…I come to thee…â€
