Hatred
If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help him with it. (Exodus 23:5 (NIV)
“Do good to those who hate you” (Luke 6:27) can be a difficult principle to follow. However, Jesus wants us to deal with others as he has dealt with us… Since Christ gave his life for us when we were alienated from him, we should show God's love by extending kindness to those who have alienated us.
Christians are to serve one another in love (Galatians 5:13), love their neighbors as themselves (Galatians 5:14), live a life of love (Ephesians 5:2), and love with actions and in truth (1 John 3:18). So, if Jesus and His followers are all about love, why do some people love to hate us? The answer is simple… they haven’t found God!
Those who hate are envious and resent another person's qualities, possessions, or position. And it's dangerous to be like someone else... If God wanted you to be like somebody else, he would have given you what he gave them!
But, hatred can also be the strong side of righteousness… because there are things we should hate – discrimination, child abuse, spousal abuse, just to name a few. The Bible says "You who love the Lord, hate evil!" (Psalm 97:10) Think about it this way if you can't hate what is evil, you can't love what is good.
Trust In Him
Loving someone you know is Natural; Loving someone you don’t know is Supernatural!
Have A Great God Day!
