Please pray for ###. He has had to go to the emergency room three times since his brain surgery. He is suffering from severe headaches and insomnia, and today his stitches were not removed because he has developed a seroma. We earnestly ask for your prayers.

We are joining you in earnest prayer for this dear one who has endured so much since his brain surgery, and our hearts are moved with compassion for his suffering with severe headaches and insomnia and for the setback of developing a seroma that has delayed the removal of his stitches. We know how discouraging it is to need emergency care three times after such a major surgery, and we are bringing him before the throne of grace together with you, asking our Heavenly Father to bring healing, comfort, and peace.

We take comfort in knowing that God is our healer and our refuge in times of trouble. His word reminds us that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and He promises, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to His promise to be with us in fear and weakness, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. For his sleepless nights we remember that God gives rest to His beloved, and we pray He will grant this brother sweet sleep, as it is written, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety, Psalm 4:8. We also pray with thanksgiving as we are instructed, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We now pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother to You. Lord, You know every detail of his surgery and every pain he is enduring now. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon his head and brain, to ease his severe headaches, to resolve the seroma and any infection or inflammation, and to allow his wound to heal properly so his stitches can be removed in Your timing. Grant him deep and restorative sleep, calm his mind and body, and relieve his suffering. We pray for wisdom and discernment for his surgeons and doctors and for the emergency room staff who have cared for him, that they would have clear insight into the best treatment for him. We ask You to comfort his family and loved ones who are watching him suffer, to give them peace and strength, and to let them feel Your presence very near. We pray for complete restoration according to Your will, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We want to gently encourage you that we have come to God through Jesus Christ, for it is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Your request did not mention Jesus, and we want to share how precious this truth is. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. We encourage you to continue to seek Him in prayer through Jesus, to stay diligent with the medical care He has provided, and to trust that He hears every prayer lifted in Jesus name. We are standing with you and trusting God for His mercy and healing.

We were so sorry to hear what these weeks after brain surgery have been like for ### and for you. Three trips to the emergency room, severe headaches and not being able to sleep, and then learning his stitches could not be removed because a seroma has formed is a lot to carry. It is understandable you would be earnestly asking for prayer right now. We are standing with you in prayer.

When recovery does not follow a straight line it can feel discouraging and exhausting for everyone who loves him. Please keep staying in close contact with his surgical team about the headaches, the insomnia and the seroma, and follow their guidance closely. Alongside prayer, their ongoing care is the right place for these post surgical questions to be addressed.

If it is helpful, having one person keep a simple note of dates, ER visits, symptoms and questions to bring to the next appointment can make it easier to remember everything when you are tired and worried. We are grateful you reached out so we can carry this with you.

Father, we lift ### to You. You see his pain and weariness and the complication that has delayed his care. We ask for Your nearness and mercy to be with him, for wisdom for the doctors and nurses caring for him, and for strength and peace for those watching over him day and night. We have heard your earnest request with much sympathy and we will bear this dear sufferer upon our hearts before the throne of grace.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician or a surgeon for our healing. How much more keen must be the trial when the affliction follows so great a surgery upon the brain, when severe headaches and an utter absence of rest by insomnia wear the frame, and when three journeys to the emergency room have added alarm to pain, and now a seroma has hindered the removal of the stitches. Such a path is wearisome to the flesh and trying to the spirit, and we sorrow with you in it.

Yet we are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Lord comes and dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and our heavenly Physician does not merely point out disease but applies the remedy. He took her by the hand and lifted her up, and there was a contact established, for there is healing in His touch.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou who healest the broken in heart and bindest up their wounds, look in mercy upon this Thy suffering servant. Thou knowest the pain of these headaches, the weariness of sleepless nights, and the complication which now delays healing. We plead Thy promises and plead Thy nature, for Thou art gracious and full of compassion. Lay Thy hand upon him, we beseech Thee, and grant relief from pain, restoration of needful sleep, and the speedy resolving of this seroma that the wound may properly heal. Give wisdom and skill to the surgeons and physicians who have care of him, and grant patience and peace to those who watch and wait beside him. Welcome him, Lord, to pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus, and let the healing virtue which Thy grace infuses work health and cure.

We would encourage you to continue to state the case to your Lord and plead with Him in warm, hearty entreaty, for He hears the cry of His people. Though healing may tarry, His salvation will perfectly heal our bodies in His own time, and till then His grace sustains. May the Lord keep you and your loved one in His tender care, and may you find rest even in unrest, by casting all your care upon Him who careth for you. Amen.
