Dear Heavenly Father,
My heart has been so very heavy since I first heard of the shooting of these innocent children in Connecticut past Friday. I have been in prayer for the parents of the children lost and wish I could somehow show them my support. I have no idea how I could do this. Even if I were there, I don't know what I could do. My heart breaks for them, the tears fall for the pain they are feeling. The pain I feel is nothing compared to theirs. I too am the mother of a kindergarden girl and can not imagine the devestating loss. I pray that they draw close to you Father. That they know that you will make something good come of this horrific tragedy. Please give them comfort and help them to find peace and forgiveness, as difficult as it may be. I know that heaven received 20 beautiful little angels that morning with open arms, and I am confident that they are all smiling in your presence. As a parent, I think that would be the only comfort I could find; knowing my child was being held in your arms. I pray in the name of your precious son, Jesus Christ. Amen
