We must test every spirit and every opportunity against God’s Word and His peace.
First, we rebuke any deception or schemes of the enemy that may be at work in this situation. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and he often disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14 WEB). If this is not of God, we stand against it in the name of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world. We also lift up the matter of seeking God’s will above our own desires. You mentioned not knowing what God’s will is—let us remind you that His will is found in His Word and through prayer. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Have you sought the Lord in fasting and prayer, asking Him to close the door if this is not His plan?
